Estill Co won 42 to 41 it was a great game this is the same Estill team that lost to Rowen by 6-0 points last week. and the Same Garrard co team that beat Rowen Co the frist week of the season now go figure that one out????????????????

Congrats Engineers! Well deserved win. this game went back and forth. Estill scored with 1:22 left in the game then they coverted a 2-PT Conversion.

congrats estill.....rowan is a much better team than garrad...beleive that...garrad must of had a good game.....garrad isnt very good...neither is estill

IRVINE — Estill County scored on a two-point conversion with 1 minutes, 21 seconds to play Friday, then recovered the onsides kick and held on to edge Garrard County 42-41.


Fred Hayes had 11 carries for 97 yards and two touchdowns and Cory Wilson carried 10 times for 83 yards and two scores. Tyler Ray ran twice for 48 yards and a scored, had four catches for 55 yards and returned a kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown for the Golden Lions (1-3).


Garrard ran for 282 yards as a team and had 337 yards of offense. But Estill ran 64 times for 388 yards and had 392 yards of offense. Billy Abney was 4-for-6 passing for 55 yards with two interceptions.


“Offensively, we were clicking,” Garrard coach Mark Scenters said. “But it was a game where, much like last week against West Jessamine, they controlled the ball and the clock.”


Estill ran 65 plays to Garrard’s 35.


“They just controlled the ball. It was a real tough night,” Scenters said.
Brett Dowell had 14 tackles for Garrard, Hayes added 14, Zach Hounshell had 10 tackles and Austin Napier had eight.
