Ashland 13 Johnson Central 10
#1
JC missed a 23 fg with 13 seconds.. that would of sent this one to overtime.

Ashland improves to 7-2 overall and 4-0 in district..

JC falls to 7-2 and 3-1 in the district

Matney must of thought the fg was good. He stormed the field. Running around like crazy.

Ashland Tomcats are District 8 champions for the second year in a roll. .Congratulations Ashland.
#3
Just reading the updates to this one, was exciting...Congrats to Ashland

Ian Holbrook breaks all time passing record

159 rushing for Ashland &

89 passing 248 total yards.

Way to go Ashland!!!
#6
Great game by both teams, I was really impressed with our defense tonight. on the other hand, blume...if your reading this.... you scared the crap out of me tonight. very fast. jc is indeed a "team". Congrats to OUR tomcats and jc...you played a great game. 2005 DISTRICT CHAMPIONS!!!
#7
Congrats to the Cats on the game and district.
#8
Way to go Cats! I was able to speak with Mr. Blume for a few moments after the game. Ashland was able to contain him most of the night, but he came up big in the 4th quarter and gave JC a chance to win the game. I wouldn't be surprised to see these two teams meet up again for the regional championship.

Great defense by both teams. Go Get the Lions now 'Cats.

Ashland is for real

You all giving credit to ashlands Defense it sounds like JC has one hel l of a defense also holding ashland to only 13 pts
This was an exciting game to listen to I wish I would of attended this one I thgouth about it but was too sick
#17
Both defenses did play terrific tonight. I think the rain really hindered each offense and helped the defenses.
#18
So TC what all did MR blume say to ya AND the BIG question DID you happen to mention BGR to him lol
#19
We only talked for a few seconds. Yes I did mention BGR to him. I just said congrats on a good game and told him to play hard and that I'd see him at Putnam Stadium again in 4 weeks. He seemed like a great young man. We did mention something else but if I said what it was I would violate the rules of the board. Confusedhh:

PM me then lol im in suspense now lol
#21
its sent

I heard through the grape vines IM not 100% sure but I think MR RON BLUME broke the single season rushing record for JC high school tongiht I think he only needed 80 some yards and he had 99 on the night
Can someone back this up for me? and if its true CONGRATS to MR BLUME this is a great accomplishment........
QQ what do you think about getting MR BLUME a shoutout in the BGR HEADLINES? this is something big
#23
Great game to ashland and JC ........IMO:boosign: FIELD goal look good to me
#24
There is no way anyone could honestly say JCs last field goal looked bad to them atleast I dont think they could.
The ashland coach ,an apparently honest ,man told reporters he had a bad angle
to see from... I think this statement says something.Centrals coach also told
reporters the other coach outsmarted us by using mud cleats....I also think this says
something.

mud cleats :omg: Oh well iam still happy that my tomcats came away as district champs and now its time to get ready for the good ole rival against the lion. TongueoliceLig TongueoliceLig TongueoliceLig TongueoliceLig TongueoliceLig TongueoliceLig TongueoliceLig

and one more thing the field goal seemed close tho it was a lil far from the right i talked to one of the refs and he told me that from his view the ball was about a hair away from hitting the right post. but what a game.

I agree, Ashland could score alot more. btw why were the JC fans booing after the game??:boosign: that is terrible sportsmanship and I was surprised to see this. nobody that we have beaten has ever done that. nor did we proceed to do so after we had our losses. I'll be honest, I thought the field goal was good....but not really.

better luck next week boys

Great game by both teams, especially the Tomcats! No excuses, they beat us team to team and I don't care what anyone else has to say about it. Well the field was wet, the refs sucked............WAAAAH:ChairHit: Ashland outlayed us and that is that.

Now, for the field goal, I'm not trying to cause controversy but, being the holder, it looked good to me but I also thought it could go either way. I would have hated to be the referee that called it. The ball went over the right upright and I mean DIRECTLY over top of it by about 2-3 feet. But, the game can't just be put on that on field goal. If we had made the first field goal, blocked better, I myself would have run better, maybe we would have won. And congrats to Ashland's D, very fast and hard hitting. Definately the best defense we have played all year. Hopefully we'll meet again in the regional championship in 4 weeks! That would be a classic!
