Who will be the top teams and players this year in the 5th

The 5th Region should be very competitive like every season. IMO North Hardin is the favorite going into next season. Others teams such as Bardstown, Campbellsville, John Hardin, Adair County and maybe a few more could compete for the 5th region championship.

Dont reply to posts if u dont know what teams are bringing back.Bardstown an adair will be at the bottom of the region.Top of the region wil be North Hadin,Etown,John Hardin, and Cville.Larue is the only other team that has the firepower with a stellar sophmore group to even compete for the region crown

I seriously doubt that Adair & Bardstown will be at the bottom of the 5th region. Those two teams are always in the top 5 of region by seasons end and a team no one ever overlooks. They will not be on North Hardin's level, but will still be one of the better teams in the region.

Elizabethtown graduated 4 seniors last seasons including some of their better scorers. Etown also had a down year last year so I don't see much of an improvement.

LaRue County graduated 3 players off of a team that played a really weak schedule not to metion each 3 of those players where LaRue's leading scorers. IMO they'll be fortunate to finish over .500.

Well with the team adair had during the summer they will only win ten games.And bardstown lost every player that dressed varsity but two.And those two players can not carry them a long way.Also Etown had a very good jv team and were very impressing during the summer.And Larues coach made a decision not to play his freshman last year for some reason but they will definitiely win more than half there games

According to the KHSAA website Bardstown returns 5 players.

A lot cannot be taking away from summer ball. Players miss games because of football, baseball, ACT/SAT, etc.

You rarely see a team have their full team for summer ball.

Well i know every player that plays for adair and campbellsville beat adair by 40 with campbellsville only having 6 players and adair had their full team

Campbellsville may be better than Adair County this year. I never said they wouldn't be, what I am saying is the truth like it or not.

I'll say it again for you, summer ball doesn't mean anything.

People get way to hyped up about summer ball victories, they don't count for anything. I would bet good money that Campbellsville doesn't beat Adair County by even close to 40 in the regular season.

Never said Campbellsville will not be a good team this season. I'm just saying not to get too riled up about summer ball wins and losses. If Adair County beat Campbellsville by 40, it still would mean nothing.

I think it's funny how people use summer ball as a gauge to how teams will perform in the regular season. If you want proof that summer ball means nothing, see 2005...Holmes beat South Laurel by 30 points during the summer but South Laurel went on to easily win the state title.

Also, last summer Tates Creek beat Holmes during summer ball by around 10 without Ricardo Johnson, but when they played during the regular season, Holmes beat them by 29 and led by as many as 37....Summer ball means nothing.

As far as who will come out of the 5th next year, I think it's going to be wide open with there being 4 or 5 teams that could get to Rupp.

North Hardin looks to be the favorite at this point. They lost King and Johnson but have some young talent coming up. It also helps that they actually play a tough schedule unlike a lot of the other 5th region teams.

Campbellsville brings back more players with loads of experience than north hardin.Plus the eagles are just as athletic if not more than north.But north is VERY GOOD.But i think these 2 teams will meet up in theregional fnals in 2010 in greensburg for all the marbles!

When was the last time Campbellsville made it to the state tournament?

Bardstown is bringing back: Seniors Keaton Hall, terrence hickman, and Nick McCarty. these are the only seniors that make up the team. The team will be very young, but alot of good young athletes. The 8th grade team won AAU state, and some of those kids coming in are pretty impressive. Bardstown will be rough around the edges, but with a few games and maturity building, bardstown could be a surprise

I dont know about Bardstown. But I do think in a year or two they will be a pretty good team. They lost 9 seniors I think including their main star Jordan Hickman. I am excited to see what Jordan's little brother Jared Hickman can do on the floor in the upcoming years. He will be a freshman who is expected to play varsity this year.

Yes varsity! I heard he will get his opprotunities. He can really shoot. I dont know the kid personally but I would like to see him play. Especially if he's anything like his brother. Who I thought was a really nice player.
