If...Then Wrote:Lebron to the Magic to help Dwight or Lakers to share the spotlight with Kobe?
Hey man good thread, I never thought of it that way, but I would say Lebron to the magic!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I mean I think if he went to the Lakers it would do more damage... You gotta think Kobe bryant and Lebron James... I mean teams have a tough time guarding Lebron and Kobe.. Could you imagine tryin to guard both of them?

C'mon, is anyone naive enough to think that two offensive playmakers that are expected to score 30 points per game could possible play on the same team? They both do the EXACT same thing on the offensive side of the floor, it is not eeven a pipe dream to think this could work. Nope, No Lebron with Kobe, D-Wade, Mello, un-uh, that would never work and you will NEVER see that. You can get by with putting a great big man with a Great creator. So, it would work with Superman, just as it worked with Kareem and Magic, Kobe and Shaq. Please don't the the stars in the sky blind you to reality.

I could see a possible LeBron/Wade team, but NEVER with Kobe. Kobe is very selfish and didn't even want to share the spotlight with Shaq. LeBron is way more popular than Shaq was back then. I would LOVE to see LeBron in Orlando with Dwight, but that is still a long shot. I still say he either stays in Cleveland or probably ends up in a Knicks uniform. I think more damage would be done if he went to Orlando though because with Kobe it would just self-destruct.

Please do me a favor and watch Kobe: Doin' Work.
Here is a link to the documentary...Kobe: Doin' Work watch this and I guarantee that you will gain a lot of respect for him and his game.

Kobe puts on an act for the cameras that he is about the team. He is about nothing but himself, he proved that when he forced them to choose between him or Shaq, then forced them to get rid of Phil Jackson, but realized he was an idiot and begged Phil back and THAT is the reason they are what they are now. Doesn't sound like a team player to me.
06-02-2009, 01:38 AM
I believe Lebron to Orlando. Simply because, LeBron and Kobe on the same team could never be possible. You can't have two superstars on the same team.

BCA, You can have Kobe. He showed his true colors with Shaq and Phil (during Phil's first tenure), and his colors off the court in a Denver hotel room.....

Kobe & Shaq did have problems. But that's so low that you bring up the Colorado incident in-which Bryant wasn't convicted of anything.
The day after the raping occurred the accuser had an examination done to determine if Bryant had raped her, it was revealed that she wore underpants containing another man's semen and pubic hair to her rape exam the day after the alleged incident.
The accuser was hospitalized as a "danger to herself" four months before the alleged sexual assault. The accusers former roommate said that the accuser attempted to kill herself twice, before the alleged incident.
The accuser was obviously crazy and tried to get her some money.
If you want to bring up the fact that he cheated on his wife, then I'll give you that. But it was proven that he did not sexually assault the Eagle, Colorado women.

Shaq was sidelined with a toe injury going into the 2006 season (I believe) and Kobe was missing training camp because of his court-case in Colorado. Shaq made some negative comments about Kobe, even though Kobe's name was never mentioned. The two began taking shots at one another through the media and Kobe finally could not put up with it anymore. Therefore he asked to be traded and expressed interest in the LA Clippers. The Laker organization obviously favored Kobe over Shaq, so they traded Shaq to Miami for Lamar Odom and two other players. Kobe also expressed that he didn't agree with Phil Jackson's coaching decisions at times, but then again the Lakers where struggling and their two best players where feuding.
Shaq started the feud between he & Bryant but I myself cannot blame Bryant for wanting the Lakers to choose between the two because it was only getting worse and Bryant finally had enough.
BTW, Bryant puts on a **** good act every time the Lakers have played in the playoffs. Because its shown numerous times about how he coaches the team during timeouts in the huddle, **** he even has been showed with a clipboard and was drawing up plays. But for him to be so selfish he has his team is in the NBA finals for the 6th time.

Why can't we all just admit it?
If you don't like Kobe, then you will say he is selfish and can't get the assists and rebounds that LeBron gets (in some cases, the Kobe haters bring up his off-court scandals:biggrin.
If you don't like LeBron, then you will say he is not clutch when his team needs him the most and can't close out a game like Kobe Bryant (and have eaten up the fact that LeBron didn't shake hands with the Magic players or talk to the media after Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals).
Bottom line is that both are two of the best that the game has ever seen and are future, well deserving hall-of-famers.
Can we all agree with the statement in bold?

Sure, I can agree with the statement. But, I still don't like Kobe.

Well, I agree with all that u said. They are both good there is no doubt. But regardless, in my mind, Kobe is still better. And Lebron would do more damage in Orlando simply because they would have an all-star center and all-star guard, common with A LOT of great teams....(Kobe and Shaq) (Karem and Magic) etc.. That and of course, Kobe doesnt need his help.
06-02-2009, 11:05 PM
Yeah because Kobe already has Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum, Lamar Odom, Derek Fisher, Trevor Ariza, and a couple players that step up and give them a few good minutes (Farmar and Vujacic). He has all the help he could possibly have. Kobe fans need to admit, he had a great thing goin with Shaq, screwed it up and said he wanted to do it on his own, realized he couldn't, so now they have more help for him than ever, so they are going to win again. LeBron has virtually nothing but a couple (Mo and Delonte) decent role players and nothing else, and still had the best record and had one of the best series in NBA history as an individual. Plus, LeBron is like 7-8 years younger than Kobe.

I and everyone else know that the Lakers had something great going with Bryant & Shaq, but how can you seriously continue to say that Kobe screwed up with Shaq when Shaq started the whole fiasco? Like they say, "it takes two to tango."
What will it take for you to admit that Bryant is not the person that you think he is?
06-02-2009, 11:52 PM
Nothing. I used to be a huge Kobe fan until he ran off Shaq. I understand if the two didn't get along like they should, but you don't mess up something great like that. Also, it wasn't just Shaq that he ran off. He ran off one of the best coaches of all time and did NOTHING until be finally got Phil back. Phil got Kobe some help and now they are contenders again. What will make you admit that Kobe isn't the God or Saint you think he is?

I know that Kobe isn't a saint, but he deserves a lot more credit than most give.
Everyone says that Kobe cannot win his 4th ring without Shaq, but guess what Jordan couldn't do it without Pippen, Parker couldn't do it without Duncan, Magic couldn't do it without Jabbar, etc, etc.
I know that LeBron hasn't really had his side-kick parter like those guys, but I do give my share of credit to LeBron. But he isn't the player that everyone makes him out to be.

lol I guess we can agree to disagree then. LeBron could possibly be the most complete player in history when it is all said and done. Kobe is a great ballplayer, but his attitude will always hold him back and cause a lot of people to dislike him. LeBron is a freak athlete and he is only getting ALOT better every year.

He has a winning attitude. The same thing you said about twins at AC when they quit basketball.
If Kobe had this terrible attitude wouldn't players be asking for trades? Why would Phil even be there if Kobe had this terrible attitude?

He is probably nice to the other players. As long as they don't take his spotlight he is probably a great teammate.

Chill BCA, I in no way posted anything that stated (nor should you have posted here) anything regarding rape. I need not be chastised here for making no more than the comment that I made and was not appropriate of adding your words into my mouth. However, regardless of what happened in that hotel room, Kobe showed his true colors in the incident.

I apologize SD. I'm just tired of no one giving Kobe any credit, while even though LeBron scores zero points in the 2nd quarter & 4 points in the 4th quarter of the EC finals he still gets all the credit in the world because he carried his team. But Kobe goes out and puts on a show in game 6 versus the Nuggets and moves his team onto the NBA finals and still no credit is shown from LeBron supporters.

No need to apologize, all is cool with me, You should know that.
Look, my issues with Kobe revolve around KOBE! He is too self centered. He has done much better in the last season, but I give that credit to Lebron. Lebron was the STAR of STAR's on the Olympic team. Kobe's self-centered game had to take a back-seat to the natural leadership of Lebron as team USA played as a TEAM! I do believe that Kobe took something away from that experience, and it has helped him. But not to the point of saying he has changed. When he proves he can be a Great Leader, for more than just one year, then I will say so. But for now, Kobe is a great Player. Lebron is on the brink of possibly surpassing MJ, Magic, Bird and Russell as the GREATEST leader of all time! Why do I already put Lebron in that category - his ability to LEAD the Dream Team!

It's funny that you say that because Carmelo Anthony & LeBron James said that they learned a lot from Kobe during the Beijing Olympics. As Kobe probably learned a lot from those two as well.
