I live a little to far away to do that but I do make it a point to work in that area sometimes just to get to Spencers.

the hot dogs and hamburgers are great. I like chili on the hamburgers. Home fries are the best too. My husband likes the hamburger steak dinner with home fries. About anything you order there will be good.

I have past that place a dozen times but have never tried it. Guess I have missed out. I am going to try it next time I am in the area.

I pass it a few times a week and haven't ate there yet either. I'll have to stop in. There is a place over towards South Floyd's school that has amazing peanut butter milkshakes, I have no idea what it is called. Cali could tell you.

What direction from SF? I would think it would have to be Jan & Ben's, Hi Lites, Brenda's or the Bypro Dairy Bar(otherwise known as the Greasy Spoon). Jan & Ben;s use to have great milk shakes but have not had one there in a while.

Golfview Restaurant - Alexandria. Across the street from AJ Jolly golfcourse. Same cooks for the past 30 years. Excellent fried Catfish dinners on Friday's special.

It isn't very far from the exit to go to Hazard, but Hazard is left, the milkshakes were right (coming from Pikeville's direction). I'm really not sure where it is because I wasn't paying very much attention at the time and couldn't remember being through there before.

Sounds like maybe Brenda's.

I have no idea what it was called but it was really good. I'll have to ask her one day and let you know for sure.

Hobo's Diner in Whitesburg, Ky is a great place to eat. It is located downtown Whitesburg.

Kenny's in Vanceburg is the best place I have ever been for a good home cooked meal. Friday and Saturday nights they serve steak and one steak will feed two hungry people. Great place!
