Corey Martin transfers to Perry Central
#1
Corey Martin has enrolled at PCC as of this morning. It's official. Things keep looking bleak for Hazard next year.
#2
Thats what we like to hear...Good Luck at Perry Corey!
#3
What made him want to leave?
#4
Better school, more to offer and better Education of course! Smile Why else would someone want to transfer? Surely not for sports!
#5
This has been coming for a while.
Awesome!
#6
Good addition for the Commodores. Martin is a soild player and will help PCC a lot IMO. Good Luck Corey.

What number was martin? And will he have to sit out a year or can he play where its in the same county. Is this another Tate Cox case, where you can transfer to another school in the same county and play the next year?
#8
best news ive heard in a while thats gonna help out the dores alot next year

I was thinking the same thing. Brent Hall tried to tranfer from JBS to KCC and wasnt ruled elibigle so it will be interesting to see how this one turns out, does Martin plan on playing football too?

Funny how it was all recruiting when Hazard received a transfer. Now that PCC has gotten one it is a great addition for the team.
#11
Where was Martin from?
#12
I hope all goes as well for him as it did Tyler Bailey who transfered a few years ago due to dissatisfaction with the team. Unfortunately, Tyler never made it to the big dance (which was supposedly why he went from Hazard to PCC)! Maybe that won't be important for Corey sinice he has already gone twice with Hazard.

OK, Thank You.

That will hurt Hazard with size for sure, It will only help PCC.
#16
How does he plan on not sitting out a year?

Well..Corey made the decision on his own to come to Perry, he has wanted this for a while now..but in Hazards case they run players down!

Dont see how he could be eligible and he will be a senior!! In my opinion,,,, not a good move !!!
#19
Wow, Perry just got 35 points better.
#20
He moved from a City address to a county address, bonified move, which is what Khsaa asks for to be ruled eligible. Yes they moved at the end of Jan or Feb, but they didn't want to take him out of school due to it still being basketball season. Now the season is over, he should be able to make the change.
#21
He will be eligible. Do you really think he would transfer if they didn't already have everything worked out?
#22
Corey changed his address from the city to the county, and his father also filed for backrupcty is what I heard, in my opinion if all of that is true then the KHSAA really has no grounds to rule him ineligible.

What does bankruptcy have to do with anything??
#24
If he doesnt get to start at PCC where will he move to next, being it will be his senior year?

why was he ruled ineligible?
#26
I don't believe Brent moved, if you don't move, there is no way the bylaws will let you get eligible. Don't know for sure, but if that is the case, that is why he was ruled ineligible. I thought that going from private to public was almost automatic getting eligible if it is written up right on the paper work. You never know with what the KHSAA is doing though.
#27
PCC will be the team to beat in my opinion; especially with this new addition.
#28
I can't see Martin getting eligible. I am surprised he transferred.

Well lets see, Corey has been attending classes at PCCHS, I dont think if your not enrolled they will let you do that. I think a faculty member lied to you. :lmao:
