Saturday’s first semifinal has late-arriving Central (18-14) going against West Jessamine (28-8) at 10 a.m. Central didn’t arrive at Rupp Arena until 30 minutes before tip-off and didn’t take the court until 19 minutes were on the count-down clock. Central definitely came out flustered, and I think it had to affect West Jessamine as well. Central tought the game started at 10:30 and was considerably late to the gym, not arriving until 19:00 before gametime. Both teams were tight and shot poorly, with the first points not being scored until well after 3:00 of play. IMO, if Central had arrived on time, this game would be in the 40's and a barn burner. Look for the 2nd half to be a horserace.
