What are some of your favorite movie endings?

I would have to say Shawshank Redemption.

The two best that come to mind are The Usual Suspects and Return of the Jedi. These are two of my favorite movies and it's mostly due to their endings.

Prayers For Bobby had a great ending.
Also, Forrest Gump's ending stands out to me.

Mentioned already but Shawshank and Forrest Gump were both great from beginning to end. A bad ending to a movie can be a deal breaker on the entire thing for me. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button had a good ending that fit the film perfectly. Fried Green Tomatoes was WONDERFUL. Catch Me If You Can was good. Eulogy was a comedy but the ending was good and a twist.

I thought that Taken was a good movie but the ending was boring and quiet for me. I can't really go into it without spoiling the movie for anyone but there wasn't enough emotion even portrayed. Like if that happened to any normal person, then the people that were involved wouldn't act like that is what I'm trying to say.

I get what you are saying about taken's ending. I just liked how he ended up getting revenge on all of them at the end of the movie.

That's exactly it. It was FAR too casual for that situation. Both dads, her mom, and her were ALL too calm about it.

one of my favorite movies that i think has a great ending even though it is sad is Gladiator. That would be my pick.
