I was told today that Perry Central head boys coach will be the new coach of a Pike County team next season.

No.
03-05-2009, 12:20 AM
I dont see this happening at all.
03-05-2009, 12:30 AM
No way
03-05-2009, 12:30 AM
This is actually not a surprise since he will be losing his team this year when senior klay maggard graduates. I can understand his leaving for brighter pastures....

At pike central??????? wat the heck do they have??? PCC will be getting Amis, Mullins and Noble back next year with some other rumored xfers.
03-05-2009, 12:42 AM
Perry will again be one of the top teams in the region next year and win the 54th and possibly region.
03-05-2009, 12:49 AM
I think he will go, he is losing a lot even though they will be decent next season. I seriously doubt anyone transfering in there to play that type of basketball.
03-05-2009, 12:52 AM
I won't believe it until I see him on the sidelines...

That's big talk before the current season ends. PCC will lose their best player, you're "so called" king klay, and i think Derron Amis.
KCC loses two important players in Amburgey and Milk, but still retain many great offense and defense contributors in cox, stamper, bartrum, mullins, davis, roberts, etc.

Hatcher will do well at either school. He is a heck of a coach...

I was just responding to what your friend Aslan said about PCC.
If we are talking about Alan Hatcher the coach (not the team on which he coaches), then why must you mention the team he might not even be there to coach for next year???

I think he still has a little business to take care of before decision time.

Perry will be good next year and will contend for a regional title. Didnt say they was a lock to win it.

I'm not sure why this would come up in the middle of the regional tourney neway. Hatcher is preparing his team for Rupp, not his next coaching destination.

I dunno where you got the idea that Aslan was my friend...
but he definitely thinks the right way....
And if I am off topic when I mention PCC in a thread about their coach I might as well not even post anymore

I have to agree with pats 2011. Hatcher would be smart to move on. Hazard will be tough next year and Knott will return several key players. He would have a tough season without the Maggard boy. The region will be up for grabs between the Dawgs and the Pats.
03-05-2009, 01:51 AM
I wish people would stay on topic..im not a frequent poster on here but i get on quite often to read the finals on games and such....but every other thread i go to such as this one..WHICH IS ABOUT HATCHER LEAVING PERRY....O YEAH WE GET THAT COX KID AND THAT BARTRUM KID BACK...i mean really? come on....go and make a daily returning knott co. players thread if your gonna post this crap.

Perry will contend next year and probably win the 54th and maybe region.

everyone said the region would be between knott and hazard this year too....
but hatcher has got PCC playing as a premiere team in the 14th region
PCC is a big school and has a great pool of talent
I don't think the threat of possibly having a down year is reason enough to leave PCC for a Pike County job

Well, If so. Bye Hatcher I surely wont miss you in the 14th.

I'll miss ya hatcher....
but if I was a fan of another team in the region I'd be glad to see ya go

By what i heard. PCC is going to fire him and try to get Hazard's asst. coach to be there head coach. They think if they get him his son will go with him.... By the new KHSAA rules. He will have to sit out a year. Until John Paul Aims, let the coaches do there job, they wont be any good. He run the best coach in the 14th off because of it....

If Hatcher does leave PCC will go out and get someone from another region

Yeah, After KCC beats them Thursday, It will be 2-2..PCC can have 5 Hatcher's on the sideline and it wont help next year. With the best player in the region returning,COX...Stamper,Bartrum, Roberts[who's eligible to play Thursday] and Ratliff...Cant wait!.
