WheelsNdaSky Wrote:These scriptures clearly state that these vile affections of men lusting for other men (gay men) or women lusting for other women (lesbians) are not the natural affections God created men and women to have for one another. Let me say here that God loves all homosexuals! However, He hates the deeds of homosexuality because they are sinful. God did not create any human being as a homosexual. They are not born that way, just as murderers are not born that way. However, these spirits can be transmitted to children, especially if someone who had this demonic spirit seduced or raped a child--or even if they were close to gay people. These demons can also be imparted to others through unholy sexual acts.
People become homosexuals because they yield to abnormal acts or lust. It is through some source that they have received a demonic spirit that drives them to their lust. Viewing evil videos or pornographic books is a way of opening the door for Satan to give one an evil, perverse spirit. Though people are not born as homosexuals, the Bible does say all human beings are born with a sin nature. If we yield to the evils of our flesh it will lead to our destruction not only in this life, but in the life to come. However, through faith in Jesus Christ and His death on the cross we can break the hold that sin has upon us. We do not have to yield to the old fleshy nature but we can now overcome evil temptations and live our lives controlled by the Holy Spirit.
Ahhhh! Brings Me Back To The Dark Ages.

Well Gay Marriage is obviously wrong.

I have the same beliefs as you, but I will not judge those who disagree. That is not our job. God judges each of us and has made it clear that we live for his glory, not our own. Thus, when it comes to judgement day, that belongs to the All Mighty, not us.

No disrespect nor am i trying to start a argument. The Government is made to make sure everybody has their privileges (i don't call them rights because they can be taken away easy) including minority's such as gays. i personally believe that they should get married because i don't think we should ban something due to biblical or just religious reasons because that would go against the first amendment. i respect everybody's opinions. I myself don't see how this isn't unconstitutional to refuse marital rights...but that's my opinion

Good post. I don't agree with some of what you say, but, that is really what you are saying. We don't have to agree, right? As for the Constitution, you have a valid claim, but the written laws have always intepreted legal marriage between a male and a female, so it would take an act to change the consititution in order to recognize it at the national level. States are where changes have been made, but it's a little TOO political for those on Captial Hill to buck the populous that is against it.

I won't judge them, as you said thats Gods job. I would treat a homosexual like I would my best friend. The only differance between us and homesexuals or anyone who is not saved, is that we accpeted a Gods free gift of grace through Christ and they havent. Besides that, there no differance between the saved and lost.

I respect your opinion. Our founding fathers wouldnt allow gay marriage and imo they would have never even thought this would be a problem.

That doesn't make it ok.

Yes, you are right. In reality, this is not our nation, we stole it by murder and plunder of the Indians. I'd dare say that we have not completely atoned for that atrocity as well.
This Nation, whether it by it's political or it's religious stances is still closer to having it right than any other nation in the world. Homosexuality is at least protected in many ways here. Try coming "out" in the Middle East and you will be executed!

Good Post. Homosexuals do have better rights here than in the middle east because of Islamic law they would be stoned to death. i think if we've came this far with gay rights we should just go that extra step and this wouldn't be a issue. i do think if gays were given the rigt to marry there should be buildings built special for gay marriages so they wouldn't have to bother with a church. sort of a compromise

Good post i'm glad you would show no prejudice because most people who think it's wrong hate or treat the people who are gay bad
But faith could not even be a diffrence between a gay and you because where there are different interpretations of the bible there are Gay Christians (no offense to any christians who think that is wrong)

There are European Nations that have more civil rights, better healthcare and longer life expectancy than America.
America is not the leader in the categories that you would expect.

The bible says that a man that lays with another man will not inherit the kingdom of heaven. I know that some homosexuals say that God is loving and won't send anyone to ****. However, as loving as God is, he is also just. We will be judeged for all our thoughts, words we have said, and actions we have done.

I have no knowledge that does not support your post, thus I'll accept it and ask that you post some of the laws of other counties and how they handle this. It would help in the argument that those are making in support of legislative changes.

Our founding fathers were also o.k. with slavery, not giving women a right to vote, limiting voting to property owners (translated "the wealthy class"). May we all hope that the Constitution continues to be an evolving document, interpreting the prinicples of liberty and equality and justice in ways consistent with the highest ideals of freedom.

 I agree. The US has evolved very well though and as we become a more tolerent nation, we will conitinue to see laws based around morality disappear. I don't agree with it, but it is the facts.

As long as they are sin, no government will be perfect. Even the government that Christ sets up during his one thousand year reign, when Satin is set loose, they will be a rebellion.

To say that one believes homosexuality to be "wrong" but to also say that the belief in the sacredness of human personality prohibits one from discriminating, showing hatred, denying love or freedom, is, it seems to me, a very high standard of morality.
