Elisha Justice: Major D-1?
#91
The funny thing about this thread is that he is only a junior. He still has one more year to play high school ball before this thread should even be mentioned.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog.

ELISHA is Great and is a D1 prospect, We will be tracking him this summer in all the camps he attends, and video clips from most. We wish him all the best as it will go a long way in getting kids exposure in the 15th Region. I am the founder and owner of 15th Region Roundup, and have talked to the owner of this site and we are going to do our best to work together and promote these kids. I put a plug in for this site as well on the telecast of the Pike Co. Middle School tournament during halftime of the Belfry and Pikeville game. No one should bash him if their a fan of the kids in the 15th region. If you still have questions just watch those clips this summer on 15th Region Roundup. com (if this is o.k. to post, if not I understand) but both sites will help the kids of Eastern Ky. The owner of this is a very classy perons and I respect him greatly.

Both sites will always do what is best for these kids. And at 15th RR we will try our best to promote them anywhere they go if they have a shot at receiving any form of college scholarship. We will then relay the info to this site as well and of course vice versa, I wish this site continued success!

Most agree he the question is will it be major D-1 or a mid major. Also because someone disagrees where he will go does not mean they are bashing him.

I also agree with Basketballonlyfan's last post.

I haven't read this entire thread BUT, whatever Elisha decides I hope that it is the best for him and his family. He has some game.

Another thing people need to realize, is maybe he doesnt want to play major D-1. I personally dont know if he does or not. You could have the talent to play at a major school, but if on your visit there you feel like you dont fit it, it would be better to go somewhere else. You can get a vibe when you visit a school sometimes. If the vibe doesnt feel right, you wont be happy there. I personally dont think that it matters if it is a major D-1 school or even NAIA. The importiant part isnt where you go to college, but getting a degree. A degree from Alice Lloyd or Pikeville means more than going to the University of Kentucky or Flordia for a semester or year then dropping out because you are not happy. The boy like to play ball. I think we should just let him play. I am 100% sure he will get a free education playing a sport he loves to play.

I think it's funny how Elisha is being portrayed by so many people as a below average shooter. If I'm not mistaken his 3 point % is above 40% for the season and his mid range game is very good. I understand the comments about his height, but I do not see shooting as a major weakness for him.

I have watched him a lot and he just keeps getting better

I think Elisha needs to get out to some major camps this summer. Most kids get recognized during the summer. If he can get around to some big time camps and play with some other big name players, will help his chances.

Is he a Junior or senior?

Elisha is a Junior.

Then yes, the comment about him getting to camps is very important. In the current environment, players get invited to the elite camps based on AAU. Who does Elisha play for during the summer?

This past summer he went to an AAU camp in Florida (not with the team) and was highly regarded. The best thing for him to do is travel to the bigger camps not with the team. He needs to be able to showcase his talent in bigger cities.
I hope he goes D1 if he wants to play at that level and I think he will do well there. Hope it goes well for him....
i heard that furman and the thurding herd @ marshall were his d-1 college thats showing alot of intrest
I hope he does but the deck is stacked agaist him. He MUST get out and play with a top flight AAU program and go to the elite camps. No offense, but playing for Shelby Valley will not help him. He is not being challenged by DI caliber athletes that much and coaches want to see how you play agaist the very best. Size and athleticism will hurt his chances as well. He is quick, but is he quick enough? You can only prove them wrong by playing agaist the best. When Hood went to the Nashville Celtics it opened a million doors for him. Leave home young man and prove youself. I think you just might prove the naysayers wrong!
Elisha Justice D-1??? I dunno they did let saul smith play at kentucky lol Smile the kid is good ill give him that but i dunno about major D-1 basketball like your uks and your dukes, the big schools, but he could fit in somewhere im sure of it, but you also have to look at the factor of will he continue a career after highschool, ive seen many great highschool basketball players leave for college, and not have a career at all.. im not gonna take anything away from him in this post, and yeah hes a junior, but alot better has went on to the next level and not make it for a season, but i wish him the best of luck.. in all that he does..
PC_You_Know Wrote:Pelphrey has supposedly shown the most interest. He knows what kind of talent is in Eastern Kentucky and I'm sure if he wanted to know how good Elisha is he could ask BMR, which, I'm sure BMR has more than likely already talked to Pelphrey about Elisha and that's what got Pelphrey interested in the first place.
I know 100% for a fact that statement is wrong.

I said it was more than likely. You have proof to say that assumption is wrong?

Yes, firsthand source.
Elisha is a good player and I have tons of respect for him but unless improvment takes place, I dont think he's good enough to be recruited by Florida. He could go to UK or Arkansas
Trust me he can play D-1.

When he gets MVP of the Kentucky State Championship, we'll talk

O yea. All hail the elite UF. That statement makes you look silly.

And a lot worse have gone on to the next level and made it for 4 years.

MVP of the All A state tournament works for me, especially when several other D-1 prospects were in the tournament.

Exactly.

What??? Rolleyes

He's good enough to play for UK, but not for Florida? That makes no sense at all. Even with their recent struggles, UK is still considered at least equal to Florida in terms of national stature, if not ahead. UK is still considered a possible destination for the nation's elite recruits.

Besides, it's Billy D who has reportedly at least shown passing interest in Justice. Not Billy G.

This quote makes a lot of sense. For some reason people tend to look

for faults of Elisha Justice, real or imagined. He still has another year to grow

in stature and ability. His speed, height and 3 point shooting ability has been

questioned and from what I saw in the ALL "A" tournament none of these

were a problem. Look for him to showcase his talents in the tournament

coming up and also JUST WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR!!
Ken Hall has just finished interviewing Elisha for 15th Reg. Round. and it will be posted on Friday, the young man's workout regimen is awesome. I think he has the mental approach and desire to play Major D1.
