Question for former players.
#1
For those former players who had a chance to play college ball at any level and opted not to do you regret it?

I didn't get a full ride but had the chance to walk on for Concord College. I didn't go. I went to work. I also say though, that God had a plan for me. It is as it should be. It is fun though to wonder what I could have done.

I played in college, and the one thing I regret more than anything was trying to do two sports and playing baseball...I blew my knee out and was never able to return to the game.

I never had the chance to play college ball. My freshman year, my football career ended due to a back injury and knee injury, I decided it wasn't worth back surgery after my senior year to keep playing. It was one of the biggest mistakes i made in hs.

Sure, I think about it from time to time. However, I got on a fast track in undergrad for a professional grad program, and have to say it worked out better for me. A couple of knee injuries in HS made the decision a fairly easy one for me now. AND...there are mornings when I get out of bed to cracking knees, a bum shoulder, and a shaky back and regret every down I played...

I loved playing, it was time consuming and very demanding, but that's some of the sacrafices people have to make in order to do something that many dream about and few get to do. It was an honor and I'd do it all over again if I had the chance.
