Belfry - 36 Pikeville - 13 (Final)
#1
Way to go to My Pirates !!!!!!

This is a huge win for Belfry.....:wenumber1
#2
Congrats to the Pirates. Pikeville had 7 turnovers and that will not get it done against a team like Belfry. The Pikeville offense still has a long way to go.

Congrats Belfry!!

If you get the chance look at Beefs profile.....

Welp...here's your chance....

I enjoyed the game a lot. Seeing eveyone and all.

As for the panthers, I liked the play calling which I heard some people saying was stupid but it wasn't Jackson's fault that they had 7 fumbles and 3 INTs. There were some CRAZY plays!! I mean a reverse, flee-flicker with a 50 yard pass pattern -- too bad it went right through the receivers hands.

But as someone said earlier, you can't give turnovers to the Pirates....starting the first 2 drives with a shap over the head of the punter, falling on it at the 2....and then the second fumbling on the 2 yard...wont get it done.

Congrats to the Pirates...they ran it all over Pikeville in the second half!

But anyway.....I'm sure that people at the game arn't back yet (I left early)...but there was a GREAT return by PHS #32 where he completly hurdled a guy at mid field...it was crazy.

Then Belfry's #7 hit Ted Honaker #5 about 10 yards from a beflry TD run and twin Tim (#3) came full speed and leveled #7 from behind. I vicious hit!! :redboxer:....and Belfry ended up getting the flag when #7 got into it with Tim. But Belfry got revenge by putting Tim out of the game 2 plays latter.

Didn't expect it to be this bad

Congrats Belfry

ME TOO....I told a buddy of mine at work today we would have to score 35 to win....but i figured it would be 35-28 or something like that. I tell ya though QQ that pikeville team was fun to watch that qb was handin the ball off behind his back and that boy that jumped over that tackle, that was an awesome play. They are a good team just had a run in with an improved (still needs work) pass defense. Definitlely a fun game to see....how did the broadcast go?

Well congrats to belfry, though in my opnion, they didnt beat us, we beat ourselves, and im sure anyone who knows the panthers would agree with that..... 9 total turn overs, i am clueless as to what happened tonight, in the first half the ref's had sum BS calls, but after that, everything went fine, we just gave up after that first TD in the second half it seems.... now that tonights over, we have to learn from our mistakes!
#17
What BS calls?

you beat yourselves? pikevilles offense never scored on the first string, you can blame it on turnovers but give belfry some credit, they were forced turnovers pikeville didnt just lay the ball down on the ground and give it to belfry... and i dont remember any calls that didnt go pikevilles way:no:

Very well said Mr. I....and Pikeville couldn't stop Belfry's running game. So I don't think it would have changed.
#21
Congrats to the Pirates.
#22
I disagree. The officiating was somewhat poor, having some questionable calls. First of all, after Belfry took over on the 3 at the main beginning of the game. First play by Belfry was a fumble, recovered by Pikeville (which they called "down" and I even heard some belfry fans swearing). Another play was the one when #6 was hit and held up for a 4 count and continued to run (poor tackling by the Panthers tho, they HAVE to go to the whistle). And then a questionable pass interference call after the only Belfry turnover (Which i didnt see, i could hear the yells though). Im not saying these would have changed the outcome in any way, but were definatly big momentum shifters....

Having said this, Belfry played a great game and appeared to be the better team, but Pikeville has to get back to work and fix some of the problems they had tonight (Turnovers, defensive breakdowns, i.e.)
Good game and and good luck to Belfry for the rest of the season
#23
Congrats Pirates!
#24
i thought it would be alittle closer than that really... congrats belfry
#25
Belfry beat Pikeville......refs did not decide this game. Please stop all the boo hooing. Pikeville was simply outplayed, outmanned, & outcoached by a more aggressive Belfry team. Belfry lined up and ran it down their throat all night....Smashmouth football at it's best !!!!

All 3 Belfry backs eclipse the 100 yard mark in this one.... and that's with Haywood calling off the dogs later in the game.

I was shocked by this score as I thought Pikeville's quickness would help them keep Belfry at bay but the Pirate's o-line just whipped the snot out of the Panthers all night.

This Belfry team is starting to look scarier and scarier each game... I am starting to think that we do have an outside chance at a 3rd straight trip to the pizza box.
#27
I will have to say i didn't expect the Pirates to win. It was a good game. Congrats to the Pirates!! :Cheerlead
#28
 Great game Pirates and Good Luck!!!!
#29
I had it 28-21 Belfry. Did I not give Belfry enough credit or was it vice versa??
#30
Belfry played a good game but they didnt force all those to's, dont give them all the credit. When Huffman fumbled on the one, that was Pikeville's unforced mistake and so was the bad punt snap. Many of to's were caused by the Panthers themselves. And Belfry didnt start making it look really bad until over half way through the 4th. Dont get me wrong Belfry is a very talented team but I think the Panthers could have had a chance if they actually would have been more efficient.
