Congrats Lions!
From what I understand, Morgan's defense gave Elliott a lot of problems. That could be a strategy that other teams could use against Elliott.

I was @ the game Morgan wasnt givin Elliott Co problems they just missed shots that they make 75 % of the time. This is why Morgan stayed around so long the big Knipp # 21 stood around and watched. He doesnt play hard all the time and tonight he stood around alot didnt rebound had very few block shots or changed very few. Just really was a non factor tonight. With that said a win is a win and Morgan isnt 40 points better than they were when we played them in Dec.

I thought Elliot was supposed to be God's gift to basketball.
They are not the best team in the state.

Probably not, but they are in the top five.

Is this typical of Knipp? I was told earlier that he was better than Todd May at the same stage. I still think Elliot is the odds on favorite to win the All A. Ferguson scores in bunches.

If he plays 100% all the time the sky is the limit for him.

Looked to me as if they took MC for granted, maybe looking past them. missing several open shots while playing a little sluggish. A win is a win though.

Elliott County has a great basketball team but please admit that Morgan's defense did hamper their play in this game.

Teams don't always bring their A game, especially against undermanned opponents. It happens...

Anyone know what type of D Morgan plays? Do they press or play 3-2. That can give a 3-pt shooting team fits.

Whoever told yoou Knipp was better than May must not have seen Todd play. Knipp is going to be a pretty good player in the future but right now he's not close to where Todd May was as a player at the same age or grade. I saw Todd play all through his Virgie days and I have seen Timmy Knipp for the last 2 years.

The question was asked if I remember correctly what other big man in the area was even close to the great Todd May.:p Or something to that effect. Timmy Knipp's name was brought up. He is playing three older verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry good players that are older and takes more of the spotlight.Like it was said the sky is the limit for Mr.Knipp.Also I think several of us received infractions over that conversation so it is a topic I wish to no longer discuss.

Great post.
Not every team brings the "A" game every night, but the best teams still win even when they don't play their best. Congrats Elliott.

Congrats to EC on the win, but Morgan must have done something diffrent? EC may just be in that mid-season form, were you tend to take it easy and looking forward to post season play!
01-28-2009, 02:09 PM
Why do you think morgan did something different? I was there and they played the same as they did when they came to sandy hook................ I think that those kids think that if they blow everyone out their minutes will go down and believe me they love this game, and want to play for 32 minutes if not more.:flame:
