AJ Johnson this kid has alot of heart and puts forth alot of effort he makes defensive plays happen. With a little weight lifting he could definitely become something.

i agree...the whole team needs 2 stay in the weight room durin the offseason too....they have been in it so far && hittin the weights pretty hard i must add

I have a question how do you get better when u lose well over 1,000 rushing yards what 17 tds,and a all district player and all state honorable mention play who was 100% of their offense noone else on that team had close to 1,000 yards and they lost the two best lineman they had in Mitchell and Day SF will be lucky to get over 100 yards a game!

Thats true but the Raiders have alot more talent coming up. In the next 2 or 3 years there going to be a tough team.

Lets hope so but if things continue the way they are now SF wont even be a high school in the next 3 years. But thats a different story.

thats very true with the way things are looking SF is looking at 2 to 3 more years at the most and there academics bein down is causing them to lose more students who were good athletes and that also hurt them

OK im goin to dissagree here I dont think this kid will be anything special because in high school unlike middle school size doesnt matter it may help but if you dont know how to use your size then you will just get pushed around out there i dont care how big this kid is if he doesnt get lower then the other man he will get pushed around every play

Ive seen this kid put highschoolers on their backs like it was nothin and im not talkin about little 5'2 100 pound kids either.

yeah he i think he is strong as dylan hall thats also be a freshman next year
01-23-2009, 09:31 PM
IMO they are goin to be alot better this year, the team has been liftin every day for at least a month and a half, from what i have seen dylan hall, weston little, and tyler moore are the hardest workers in the wt. room

I hope they do get better and i will be attending every game but like i said it's going to be tough. They lose Howell who had over 1,000 yards He was quick and could bust a 90 yarder at any point in the game. Mitchell who led them in receiving up until the last game and was a pretty decent back and he didn't play the last 5 games due to surgery. Day who was a tackling machine, and Mitchell on the line who could block any 2 people you ask of him. Day and Mitchell were head hunters. Howell and Mitchell was a pretty good duo in the backfield, Howell could run past you and Mitchell could run over you. But like I said i hope the best for the raiders. Good luck boys.

I think that the Raiders will improve this season from what they built off of last season.
Good luck in 09 Raiders!
Good luck in 09 Raiders!

I agree in the backfield Mitchell and Howell was a good duo together who complemented eachothers game sorta like thunder and lightning combo Howell would shake you then blow by you and Mitchell would pound the ball at you and break tackles.

this is another kid where I think he will not do much in high school football because even tho he may also be a good size boy he probably will not be able to use his size and get as low as the other guy and he will get pushed around if he doesnt know how to use his size but piece of advice aj and dylan the LOW man wins everytime...

Well if all these freshman are going to get the Raiders in the playoffs next season, they should be a state contender in 4 years. IMO those freshman are in for a rude awakening becasue middle school and high school are totally different ball games.

It should work like that because of pure physics, but when I was playing in college I was on the kickoff team and we were playing at UVA-Wise and I went to take a guys legs out (about 6'6" 270lbs.) and the next thing I know I'm laying on my back looking straight up at the stars.
01-25-2009, 04:00 PM
i dont mean more then 3 freshman but they will be more to step up that didnt last yr
01-25-2009, 07:08 PM
who all is going to step up
01-25-2009, 07:50 PM
They do not have the numbers. Likely will win 2-3 games. Its up to them to prove me wrong and i hope they do.
01-25-2009, 10:16 PM
david slone, bobby meade, tyler moore, dougie mathews, the 3 freshman and possibly mitch johnson...and upper classmen that didnt play last yr && are coming out may also
01-25-2009, 11:02 PM
i heard bobby mead aint playing
01-25-2009, 11:06 PM
Bobby is good but if he don't play then they hove Mitch who runs hard and was a decent fullback last year.
01-25-2009, 11:18 PM
mitch was a good fullback and will b tough to stop next year he was also a good defensive player who would hit anyone
