Ref's let the game get a little out of hand. Good win for the Eagles. I don't have any stats but I know for sure JC's leading scorer was Ian Welch... Jeremy Bratton had a wide open slam on the fast break. Jc looked pretty darn good!

Gooood Job Johnson Central!

What happened between Welch and Pack? Was this that big a deal? Go Eagles!

Stayed home and watched the UK game and I'm really glad that I didn't decide to go, because I listened up until around 3 minutes left in the game and the loss of Gearheart hurt Prestonsburg severely as JC dominated the boards and got a lot of second chance opportunities.
The Prestonsburg offense has got to get in gear. Their is little to no movement at all, they don't go inside to one of the better big men in the mountains and they force a lot of ridiculous shots. Time to get it into gear Blackcats!!!
Congrats Eagles!

They exchanged some words, but Pack needs to worry about his own players and his own team, then address problems he has with his opponents to the ref's!! Not very professional of Coach Pack in the least.

Congrats Eagles! Sounds like they are finally starting to come together and have resolved the inner turmoil. This is the type of scores we all expected at the start of the season.

Go Eagles! It wasnt Welch it was Parker and it all started because of the intentional foul Parker had on Patrick for Pburg when he went up for a slam. Pack was chewing the ref out and i guess Parker thought he was talking to him and got up in Packs face and it all got out of hand from there.

From what I saw, and I didnt go to the game, I saw the replay on LJ productions. But Steven Patrick got fouled hard, no doubt it was intentional. And Jack Pack started talking to someone, from what I saw it looked like he was talking to the ref, but I could be wrong. Then JC's player came up in packs face and started yellin, and the refs seperated the JC player from Pack. And it escalated from there, to Pack and some fans getting into it. But after the game they all shook hands and I believe the JC player apologized to Coach Pack for what happened.

I was at this game, that is not what i seen. Coach Pack might of lost the game tonight but in my opinion he was one lucky guy...

This is what happens when someone doesn't know what really happened. It was Welch who fouled Patrick. Sure it was a hard foul but in my opinion that is basketball. He was going for the block. Then Coach Pack said a few choice words to Welch who was held back by his teammates. Parker told Coach Pack to just have a seat and had a few choice words to Parker. He never got in Coach Pack's face. I thought it had died down then Welch's mother hollered at Coach Pack and told him not to talk to her son that way and Pack had a few choice words for her and a couple of other fans including Conley's dad who in turn got Mike fired up and he said some things to Pack, so Mike got T'd up. Pretty solid game for JC though. Played outstanding D.

Thanks for getting this strait. Sounds like Pack was really pushing his luck and should be ashamed at arguing with players, not to classy and not too smart at JC. Sounds like the Eagles have some fire in them! This is the team we knew was there. Keep up the good work and GO EAGLES!

One more question, why did Pack not get a T or thrown out? From the stats looks like a good balanced attact and great D.

I do not want to start anyting, but number one you do not verbally attack another teams players and number two, he was at JC and number three the players and parents of the JC kids invloved are top of the world poeple but you do not want to mess with them or thier kids anywhere, I am the same way. JC has the best fans in the world, but take it form me, you do not want to start something there with our players, case closed!

Good win for the Golden Eagles! Looks like they are coming together as a team to rival SV. They are highly competitive and that makes for some interesting battles.

He was talking to the ref's about the hard foul on Steven Patrick. He was not talking to the players of Johnson Central. The players must have thought Pack was talking to them and they said something to him that was out-of-line and he probably said something back that was out-of-line. Bottom line is that the players said something to him first so they started the whole mess.
Anyway, let's get back on topic. Good win for the Eagles! They looked good playing some team ball last night.

I guess it depend if you are for or against JC with Pack, but he got beat and is history. JC fans may be vocal and supprot thier team, would not have any other way.
You are right back to the thread,. I think this will start JC's run to the district and region and they seem to be on track. i for one feel they have enough talent to knock of SV later in the year, they will have some match problems with us. GO EAGLES!

Never at anytime in the past or in the future of organized sports, has (or will) any human ever come close to matching that one. I believe it is safe to say that one not only takes the cake, but she more than likely made the cake.
You been hittin the sominex again?

I guess you can say Good win! Coach M is starting to come around now that he has more say in what is taking place and the players are starting to play some team ball. Just maybe things are improving all across the floor, as it started to look like team fired up.

There isn't many teams in the region that can match Johnson Central's athleticism and if JC continues to play good defense and force turnovers then I don't see them losing many more games.
I do believe that the Eagles lack an outside game, but as long as the big guys are playing good and controlling the boards, they don't need a 3-point line.
Best of luck to the Eagles on the rest of the season!
