Very good basketball game, congrats to SF on a well played game, game was closer than the score indicates, we just ran out of gas late due to the pressure SF was applying, my boys have improved 100% since the beginning of the season and they are working hard every day to improve even more. i'm very proud of their effort.

Heard Johnson(00) had a great hustle play for a blocked basket. This amazes me he isn't a small kid. MCA has a great squad best of luck Falcons.

thanks Raider76, yes that was a very athletic play the Johnson kid made, lots of hustle from the entire SF team.

Just wondering If the MCA coach let his plays shake your hands after their loss our did he show no sportsmanship and just stomp off the floor. Like he did Friday Night vs. Wesley.

Yes I actually did let my players shake their hands because their coach didn't try to embarrass and humiliate my boys like the Wesley coach did. When you have a 30 point lead with 3 minutes to go in the game there really is no reason to keep pressing full court. We had only scored 24 points the first 21 minutes of the game and trailed by 30 with 3 minutes to go. I seriously doubt we would have made that unbelievable comeback. The only reason to stay with the full court press was to try and embarrass the MCA kids. Call me what you want, say what you want, I don't regret going straight to the locker room because in my opinion when you keep kicking kids when you already have them beaten and the game is over that shows no sportsmanship.

I think it is funny how the mca coach can dish it out but can't take it and I am referring to the wesley comments he posted saying that the wesley coach was showing bad sportsmanship by pressing with three min. to go and he did not shake hands I hope he remembers beating the wesley girls by like fifty points but the wesley coaching staff and players still shook hands after the game so I just want to ask who is the bad sport here really.

Hey Eagle96 it was actually 46, the score was 50-4 and that was in 2007, I believe the first game the Wesley girls had ever played. What I didn't do that game was press and I played my bench, my 1st grade daughter played almost three quarters that game with a 2nd grade girl, 4th grade girl and two 5th graders. I did play my 7th graders but only about a quarter and a half and that was to let the other girls rest.
If you attended any games this year you would have saw that I pressed them until I got a 10 point lead and backed off and played 3 second grade girls over half of the ball game, again I only had 7 girls but I was able to play kids that kept the score respectable
There is no rule that says you can't beat someone by 50,60,70 or by how ever many you can and there is also no rule that says I have to shake his hand and IT FELT GOOD WALKING OFF THE FLOOR.

The 2007 game you played alot of players but you pressed the entire game and put your starters back in with 2 mins. to go. I would say that this was very hard loss for all these first year players.

SPORTSFAN I'M NOT SURE YOU SAW THE SAME GAME I DID, Heck my 1st grade daughter played so much that game she ask me if we could schedule them more so she would get to play in the A team games.
yes i did put two of my starters back in for about 45 seconds because the 1st and 3rd grader ask me to come out, they were tired, but when the two starters scored on consecutive layups they came back out.
there was no press the entire game, if the Wesley players had made half their shots in the game back in 07 they would have been in the ball game AND LIKE I SAID EARLIER IT FELT GOOD WALKING OFF THE FLOOR FRIDAY NIGHT.

MCACOACH, Did you ever think that it is hard for a team like Wesley who has only three 8th graders? Do you expect the 6th graders to play ALL 3 games? Give me a break!!! The Wesley coach needs his kids to be prepared to make a run at the county tournament in A team. Changing presses and throwing out different plays against another opponent is alot better of a gauge to see what does and doesn't work, versus working on things in practice.
But back to the game, congrats to SF on their win! MCA has a tough C team that should make some noise come tourney time!!!

Matthew Ison is a threat in every way i think it will be close to choose an mvp this year.

I agree he is a very consistent point guard. He can score plus hes big (tall) which allows him to follow his shot and get a put back.
