Elliott County/West Carter (Updates)
#1
55 - 55 with 1:00 left in the 3rd.

Wow! Never thought it would be this close late in the game.

Looks like West Carter is better than what most thought.
#3
Whoa nelly. What an upset this could be.

West Carter is a very good team. The only loss they have in the region is to Elliott County early in the year.

They are calling alot of fouls in this game it sounds like. That is one way to stay with Elliott. If they call the fouls close and don't let them hand check Elliott's press isn't nearly as effective.

It also sounds like West Carter is outhustling them. West is getting alot of rebounds and lose balls.

Anymore more updates? :flame:

Also just for the record I voted West Carter in the Top 10 in the EKY poll.
#7
65-60 Elliott County with 3:50 in the game.
#8
I think West Carter is running out of gas. Great effort so far though.

67- 60 Elliott.

If they pull this one off, they will have my vote !!

Obviously they are playing better than a top team in EKY, they win this they are legit in the State.

69-62 Elliott County with 2:43. Timmy Knipp fouls out.

Right now West Carter is 11-2 with a 89-68 loss to Elliott and a 54-50 loss to Ryle.

They can back it up with their record.
#13
Very solid resume. I'm rather surprised of their loss to Ryle though. Ryle is not a very good NKY team, despite their NKY ranking. They have yet to play any team in NKY with a .500 record or better.

Ryle is 9-3 and 3 with losses to Boone County, Clark County and Holy Cross.

Thats not too bad.

Lost to Boone 64-52
Lost to Clark 79-66
Lost to Holy Cross 38-36

Final 77-65 Elliott County

I'm not meaning it as a knock.

Those teams they should have lost to. Conversely, their wins are against:

Oldham 7-4 ( I know nothing about OC)
Cooper 0-5
Cov Cath 3-9 (without Isler & Maile - When CCH was in the midst of their 0-6 start)
Georgetown
Conner 7-4 (the only quality win in NKY )
W. Carter 11-2 (best win of their season)
Estill 6-8
Cordia 5-6
Simon Kenton 4-5
