Bengals finish 4-11-1 on the season, with 3 straight at the end of the season.Did anyone else besides me notice that Tyler Thigpen was totally lost out there as the Chiefs' QB? ON more than a few times he was on a different page then his receivers and consistently overthrowing them. The Bengals' D really showed me something today. If it wasn't for that pass interference call on the Chiefs' 9th chance for a TD then this Bengals D would have been the first to ever pitch back-to-back shutouts in franchise history. The Bengals have a bright young star in Andre Caldwell. He really has some raw speed and is very strong. He will slap run you over if you cross his path. And man I can't say enough about Cedric Benson. He is just phenomenal, his strength and speed combination is lethal, he is a very important person to re-sign in the offseason in my opinion. Thoughts on how the Bengals finished out the season and predictions on what they will do in the offseason???

I admit the Bengals have done good the last 3 games. Cedric Benson has been a workhorse for them.

I think if the Bengals could have started like they finished then I think they would have been able to compete. And Cedric Benson has been a beast for this team these past couple games.
Good Luck To The Bengals In The Off Season!!!

Let's not drink the Cool-Aid!!!!
The Bengals beat three horrible football teams down the stretch. The Redskins just tanked it. Thie team, once they were knocked out of the playoffs just gave up. The Brown's win would have been no different that playing against the Bengals practice squad.
The Browns did not want to be on the field. You know a team has no interest when they didn't run out of the tunnel at halftime until the referee was taking the ball to Shayne Graham for the second half kick-off. No warm-ups, nothing. That's a team that didn't even want to be there.
Today's game reminded me of the scab games of the walk-out. Who the heck was even on the field for both teams? This was a miserable KC team who was playing for a draft pick. The Bengals sit both Chad and TJ without Carson and they completely dominate the Chiefs Defense. Cmon, the Chiefs are horrible.
I'm sorry, I not going to take much away from what the Bengals did down the stretch. The starting line-up today was virtually the same line-up for the last 10 weeks of the season. Benson looks awesome, but where was this prior to the Redskins game? I'm not buying that the Bengals all of a sudden clicked. They are still a long ways away from being a competitive football team until they revamped the lines on both sides of the ball. The past three weeks did not prove that they had solidified any line spots, all it proved was the lines were less inept than the lines that they played. And that's not saying a whole lot when the 3 teams were as bad or worse than the Bengals.

Why don't you tell us how you really feel, Stardust?
IMO, the Bengals are not going to be very good until Mike Brown stops undermining Marvin Lewis' authority as coach.

....every coach that he has hired
You are dead on. Mike Brown is the issue and unfortunately, we the fan have to suffer for his ignorance and arrogance.

What about the rumors of hiring a GM. IMO, it looked like the Bengals intentionally went Andre Caldwell's direction yesterday. Was that righting on the wall for either TJ or Chad? With 5 catches and 4 carries, plus returns, it certainly looked like the Bengals were testing the waters.

A lot of teams would have looked good these last three games considering who the Bengals played. The Redskins, Browns, and Chiefs? WOOF... Two of those teams finished the year worse than Cincinnati. I don't think these wins are anything to get excited about.
This team still needs a lot of work. I said before the season started that the offensive line needed to be revamped, but even I didn't foresee this mess. What a pitiful excuse for an NFL O-line! The Bengals need to invest that top pick this year on a stud offensive tackle, then grab a top center later in the draft. I like Whitworth at guard, but Andrews has been a disappointment this year, Levi Jones is washed up, and Ghuiciac may be the worst center in the league.
Oh, and way to go Bengals in screwing up a good draft pick by winning these last three games...

I would love to see the Bengals get rid of Mike Brown somehow but I doubt it will happen and so I hope he allows Lewis to coach his own way because Lewis is a very good coach and knows what he is doing, but its hard to coach when the owner won't allow you to coach your own team.
