NIECE Wrote:Hey bro, did you think I was lying when I said how bad the game would be. :ChairHit: I told you if Powell got over 300 yards Estill would double that if they wanted to. Good luck next week Estill!

That was a given.

Sad to see such a historic season over... It was the teams first ever District Championship and they beat somerset for the first time in school history in football.
#33
Haha go neers', Estill wouldnt have wanted Harlan to beat Breathitt (even if they could) Estill wants Breathitt, u will see the best game Estill has played all year next friday.
#34
Like I said watch out for Fungate or Breathitt will win hands down.

I hope you are right...Many times these games are blowouts, not living up to the hype.....EX. Texas Tech\Oklahoma tonight....I will stay with my home-town team and say Breathitt by 14

I hate when kids get on here posting trash talking and 95% of them dont even play football.

- They run an offense that requires alot of time to gameplan for and will be completely different than anything Belfry has seen this season

- They are the quitest 11-1 team in the State of Kentucky. They hardly ever get any ink.

- They have alot of Senior leadership

- They don't have the name "Breathitt" or "Russell" on their chest, thus it doesn't immediately create that sense of having to be on your A game.

- They are a two point conversion from being undefeated

- They have a surprisingly very good run defense

- It's hard to judge how good they really are based on their schedule.

Lots of intangibles about an Estill County team who has been flying under the radar quite nicely.

You are right. Estill is a heck of a team. And they could be a force to be reckoned with for Belfry. However, they are a two point conversion from being undefeated....while Belfry IS undefeated. You never know tho, I think it would definitely prove to be a very good game. Wink

why put up so many points that the game is way out of hand.

From what I was hearing on the radio, Estill was just running the ball into the middle and TC just would not tackle them..........Not much more a team can do other than take a knee, which was an option I guess......

We were not trying to run up the score. Just like Brahma said we were just trying to eat up clock and run time out.

Put in the JV? Freshman team even? Run out of bounds at the 1, and kick a field goal? Why do you think Johnson Central hasn't broken the Rushing record/game this season? It wasn't because they couldn't, its simply because those boys have respect and don't like the fact that some teams do run up the score and many think hanging a score of 70 isn't running up the score. Johnson Central could have hung more on Cov Cath and left them at scoreless but we didn't. Football is not a game of look how much I can score, its a game of how classy your are and how much respect you can earn. Respect is earned by playing a good hard hitting smash mouth game, not by taking the score to the sky.

The JV did go in. So is it still running up the score if the JV scored. That cant be helped. Estill could also run up the score in games they played and pad there stats so i realy dont wanna hear that. The score was not run up.:dontthink

Estill was only up 51-14 at the half. They did put in the JV in the fourth. The only problem is the JV and Freshman are pretty good. And truth be told, probably could have beat Taylor with just them and it may not have been as bad. Estill has 3 younger running backs the age of #10 that are as good as the starters IMO.

I guess you could have took 3 knees and punted or punted on first down. However, taking 3 kness would have run out more time. You really could have taken 4 knees for that matter.

Yes your right if 7 minutes wasnt left on the clock. At the end when the JV scored it was on Wedge they ran several times and everyone stopped and he busted out for a 54 yrd run.
#50
TC ur wrong the only reason they won the last time was because of a fumble and the score was6-7 Estill and Breathitt will be a great game to watch you should go watch it since your not playing

Who cares how much time was left....If you are up 40+ and in total control of the game, take a knee......There are ways to not score whether it is popular or not. The coach knew that TC had not stopped anything all game and EC could score on whatever he called, so why call a play other than the QB Kneel? I am not saying that EC ran it up on purpose, but they had options other than scoring 73. Good win though!

Estill never tries to run up the score. They just play their game. And if the other team can't stop them, then its their fault. Estill has a good team and why try and take a knee with 7 minutes to go?
#53
Estill will stop the Breathitt, o im sorry The Channing fugates and win in a close one.
#54
why was Taylor co calling all there time out when we were trying to run \the clock out and why they TC still have there starters in the game. If TC had not call there time outs we would have run the clock out and not scored the last two td's

I've noticed the boat that's a float is the boat Niece is on. He is from Estill and worked with the pee-wee teams for a couple years.

If TC was calling timeouts to stop the clock they deserve what they got in my opinion....Why drag out a beating like that? I guess TC was attempting to pad their stats as far as the coach's son, Thomas, and Macon.....

Niece has never worked with the pee-wee teams.

I may have missed it but what did Macon & Thomas end up with for Taylor Co.
