Harlan Co will make the trip to Breathitt this friday night to take on the bobcats in the seond round of the playoffs. Breathitt beat Harlan at Harlan earlier in the year. Breathitt is coming off a win agianst Garrard county that wasnt that impressive to me. Breathitt will have to buckel down and really play with some fire this game. Breathitt is lead by the states leading rusher Channing Fugate that tourched Harlan ealier in the year and with Jade Haddix back to 100% I dont think that Harlan will be stopping them very much, I have been known to be wrong though. I think that Breathitt will come out with a fire which they didnt have playing against Garrard and take it to the Black Bears. Breathitt will win by the final score of Breathitt-35 and Harlan Co-14

Breathitt has been up and down all year. Depends on which team that shows up will determine the out come of this one. They are going into this game thinking we have beat Harlan already this year and we are playing at home.
Breathitt-21
Harlan----20
Breathitt-21
Harlan----20

The Bears are looking for some redemption. I believe the Bears pull this one out. Larkey will not let lighting strike twice!

If Harlan County can find a way to slow down Fugate they might have a chance, but i just don't see it happening. Breathitt by 2+ TDs.

Breathitt County just needs to show up because they will not erase a 47-7 win, BC is too good and they basically have already won the game. The kids can be confident in a win in Jackson next week. The Bears will play tough but BC is too much.

lost alot of respect for larkey in the breathitt harlan game earlier in the season. his kids on the sidelines were sitting down and on a knee the whole second half, personally don't think harlan has a chance this week especially with no more fight in them than that........
breathitt by 3 tds or more

I'm not sure who I'll take yet, give me a couple of days to think this one out... HOWEVER I do believe with everything in me that it won't be a game like it was the 1st time these two met.

I would say that Coach Larkey had his attention focused on the field during that game, not what was going on behind him with the players on the sidelines, geesh.

If I were making a prediction on this game and had only seen the first meeting between the two teams, I would be inclined to agree with you. However, this is not the same team that the Bobcats played that miserable Friday night in Sept. We hope Breathitt comes in thinking the same thing as you do.

Slowing down Channing is alot easier said than done. Channing will do his thing and get his 150 yards and three touchdowns. I dont think we will beat them as bad as we did last time but it will be by about three touchdowns.

If Breathitt plays like they did against Garrard, Harlan win this game........

What did Estill do to contain him earlier this year? They proved it can be done I don't think anyone will be sitting around not paying attention to this game. I'm sure Larkey will remind them how bad they were embarrassed and I bet there is not a player on the team that don't need to be reminded.
Breathitt jumped on them early and got their heads out of the game in a hurry. With the importance of the first home game I believe they all were a little shell shocked we will not let that happen again.
Black Bears WIN! 45-38

Harlan will not let Breathitt score 47 points on them again. It will be tough, but I think Harlan will pull out the win. They have the talent to beat Breathitt. Best of luck and GO BEARS!!!!

 I'm sure Breathitt will see a different team than the one they saw back in Septemeber. Our bears are playing as a team and Coach will have them ready to win this game!!
Go Bears, your Bear Nation will be behind you all the way!

ok everyone knows that Breathitt beat HCHS pretty bad early in the season!!! There was alot that we could say contributed but oh well its over. This is a different ball game now! I promise U that if u did see that game u won't even think that was the same BEARS!!!!! The BLACK BEARS WIN THIS ONE!
11-16-2008, 02:27 AM
Brethitt considering they already beat them once....really bad
11-16-2008, 02:34 AM
Estill is alot better team than Harlan. Estill is a heck of a team. Harlan I do beleive just doesnt have what it takes to beat Breathitt at Breathitt. All Harlan said last game is how they were going to shut down Channing and our offense, but Im pretty sure that didnt happen if I remember correctly.

Action in Jackson II.
It will be more of the same. Breathitt dominated the last time. It will be more of the same this time around.

Breathitt cannot play as they did against Garrard or it will be Estill and Harlan in round 3 of the playoffs.
11-16-2008, 12:52 PM
I think this game will be closer then the last one. Who win this game. It wont be by no more then a TD.
11-16-2008, 02:03 PM
BEARS in a close game.
11-16-2008, 04:01 PM
i just dont see how you can make up that much diff in a few weeks, bobcats by a couple of tds
11-16-2008, 04:11 PM
GO BLACK BEARS!!!!:redboxer:

28-22 Breathitt.

I think Harlan Co will play much better than the last showing against Breathitt but I still think the Bobcats prevail.

It isn't rocket science.
Estill Co. (and to a lesser extent, Prestonsburg) "controlled" Fugate by limiting the time Breathitt Co.'s offense had the ball.
If Harlan Co. can take care of the ball while scoring points on long drives through most of the game, they can beat the Bobcats. If not, Fugate & Co. could run the Black Bears into the ground.

Sounds like a good plan to me. The Black Bear's offense is more mutifaceted since the return of our QB since he broke his wrist. I am confident in our abilty to score on long drives. Our defense will be put to the test once again this week. I suspect they'll rise to the occasion.
Here's to hoping that Breathitt thinking they've got this one wrapped up and in the bag and are looking to next week!
