They said on the radio that AC came out after HT just looking like they wanted to get on the bus and go home.

Me too, most people on here don't know football. Even the sports guys picked AC...Big Grin WoW...Smile

I realize Allen Central had a long way to travel to play this game, but if I was a player, and I knew I had the oppurtunity to win a playoff game for the first time in school history, I wouldn't let the distance effect me. Harlan simply dominated this game. I was really pulling for the Rebels, and I hate that they ended up having to travel so far, but I really expected them to put up a better fight.

Congrats, Green Dragons, and best of luck against Pikeville. Keep your heads up, AC. Keep working to improve and get 'em next season!

I'm sorry, but you have to travel. It's a part of it. There were talks of a playoff run, but all the games would have been away.

Agreed. Every game requires one team to travel, that's just part of the deal. Good teams don't use travel as an excuse when they lose.

Congrats to the Green Dragons!!

I will admit it, I was also definitely wrong about this one. Was also pulling for AC to get the win. Congrats to Harlan on the W and good luck next week v.s. Pikeville. Looks like they will have a good ways to travel as well.

Exactly...You can't use the excuse of "the trip killed us" if you expect to be a contender. Allen Central had a legit chance at doing something that no other school in Floyd County other than Prestonsburg has ever done and that was WIN a playoff game. If you can't get jacked up for that, then stay at the house.

On a brighter note, this team should take this season's lumps and turn'em into dumplins next year. With the Crowders back, Jackson healthy, Stumbo returning, Parsons coming on strong, next season should be strong.

Hopefully these boys will hit the weights, gain some confidence and maturity from this season and have a couple of breakthroughs next year. Congrats on making steps to improve football at AC this season guys - live and learn.

Good luck to Harlan next week at Pikeville...

I'm tired of hearing about money, money, money, money, money. I just want to play the game, drink Pepsi, wear Reebok -Shaquille O'Neal
#22
I got this one right, just because as most know AC district is the weakest in the state..... Still a good effort by Harlan, holding down a team that has scored a bunch of pts.... good luck....
#23
I thought it would have been a little closer than this. WOW!
#24
Congrats Dragons.
#25

Good luck Harlan great win!

This should not surprise me like it does. I should have known that given the opportunity, the old AC would eventually show themself. Going into a game not ready to play, no emotion, and no real expectation of winning and no pride to finally win a playoff game is the real tradition. I hope that they learn from this over the off season and do some REAL improvement next year. The talent is there, the heart comes next.
