Not to mention this will be the first time Russell has ever played PCC which could make it a little tougher of a game then expected just for the fact you wont really know what to expect from them. To add to that you all have played Belfry many many many times and know what they do. RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN lol. Never sell your team short if another team plays you close or blows you out. IE. UK vs UF then turns around and should have beat UGA. Good Luck in playoffs. and good Luck to my alma mater. GO HAWKS!!
Russell wins without its pichfork.

Yeah its two totally different styles. And yes sometimes comparing scores can be a little misleading. But just because Russell and PCC have not played before doesn't mean Russell will not know what to expect. As will PCC.
Judging by what PCC has done, and people I know that have seen them play, this game should not ever be close. If Russell gives up 26 points to this team they have no chance at stopping Belfry's ground game.
I'm not trying to be disrespectful to the Hawks but this game should be decided early.

I saw Russell players doing grass hoppers from one end of the practice field to the other with bleeding elbows doing uppers & downers all evening while drinking kerosene & snorting fire. Could they be fired up?

Now, If you could see what color the flame was coming from their behinds was blue. Then yes, I would say they were fired up. It is scary when its blue.

I think it is funny that people predict scores, but never say anything about how they have come to that conclusion!! I personally dont have a clue as to the outcome of the game! (If) I based my conclusion on past games and scores than I would pick Russell! Not sure of the score but I think Russell would win based on previous games and scores! But since I dont really believe that any game is totally predictable, (if I did I could win millions betting on football). I just choose to base my opinion on my wishful thinking!! -- But at least I am honest!
I do know that years of hard work, and good coaching while playing in the JFL can pay off when times are tough! I do believe in you DEVILS, and will be there backing you as good as any fan could! And win or lose I sincerely thank you all for the blood, sweat, and pain, all of you have endured for our entertainment! All any player can do is give it there all!!!!!!! And I know you DEVILS will.
GOOD LUCK !

Is PCC the whipping boy of the mountians?  Not very many fans on here to defend their team. Have they already mailed the win in for Russell?
By looking at the 15 million threads that say who's the blah blah blah in the mountians one would figure that a lot of the mountian folk would be on here taking up for PCC. And yes the rest of the state does play sports as well.
Yes Russell will more than likley win but at least put up a fight.

Pike Central's playoff run would involve beating Russell, Belfry, Mason County, Breathitt County, and Lou. Central... if I were a PCC fan I don't think I'd be very confident as well.

"Most people are so spoiled." Its not like it was twenty years ago. We lived for the Friday nights. Now kids can stay home and catch the game on the net or somewhere else. I would hate it if Russell would lose that intrest. These games bring back alot of memories and make new ones to. I have learned to live through my kids and I think I have figured out what life is all about. I believe its watching them do as I did when I was that age. Guiding them to a better future than I was guided through. Having a school spirit isn't up to one person, its up to the school as a whole. Win or lose these are the memories that you keep forever. I can remember looking in to the stands and seeing my parents and all the people in the stands. Now I realize I'm in the stands. I kinda humbles you. But the school spirit that we had then, has carried over to 20+ years later. Its a community "thing" KYbaseball.

I think Russell will always have school spirit when it comes to football. What a great program you guys have built there.

I personally would like to thank all the past JFL coaches over the years for dedicating their time, to build what we all call Russell Highschool Football.
I personally wouldnt want to take anything away from the Highschool coaches, but most of the great talent that has went through the highschool program was developed in the JFL. And that is why Russell Football is what it is today!
I think I shall compile a list of some of those coaches, and have them honored at halftime of a game in the future. Some are no longer with us but I believe the Russell JFL has had some of the best prep coaches that any town or community could ever ask for!!

I am Alum of PCC, graduated in 06. Now I know i predicted a Russell win but I try to pass as much biases as possible. I dont like to get on here and be like PCC all the way when the odds are against them. Pike Central is really in the progress of FINALLY putting something good together. But they are still very young, they only graduate 2 seniors this season. I will agree I am still very surpised for PCC fans arent on here to show support considering I think im the only ALum or current student or parent who has posted anything. Oh well though basketball season is right around the corner LMAO.

They should be pretty good this year.
I have noticed that PC has like 2 people on here who rarely get online. Most of the site is Pikeville, Belfry, and Prestonsburg. Until Pike Central proves they should be talked about and defended, it will stay that way.

Russell should win this game they need to make sure they focus on this week and not next week.

ACtually I am on here nearly 4 to 5 hours a day lol...But most of the PCC fans get on here during basketball season. It is just not a football school and thats the facts. Never will be IMO.

Just left the field to come back home to pick up some umbrellas. The crowd looks pitiful so far. Not a whole lot on the Russell side and I didn't see a soul on the visitors side. I hope they come in towards game time.
