Fugate is nearing 2000 yards this season, i think just 50yds or so from it and he is 6'2 220lbs.

Redstorm greer is not even the best back on his own team. Can't compare to Hunter Adams talent wise.

Caleb Watkins also outruns Hunter Adams. There is video proof and it was last year when Watkins was a sophomore and Adams a junior. He is good, but there are many as good or better in the mountains.

I have watched the video you are talking about and I donât see where Watkins outruns Hunter Adams. The one play that I think you are referring to, Adams is playing Left Outside Linebacker and Watkins runs to the defensive right Adams comes from across the field and Watkins has about a 12 yard head start on Adams and by the time they get to the goal line Adams is within 5 yards of Watkins. Youâre seeing things differently than I am.

Guess so---I was at the game. Watkins was running a 95 yard touchdown at the time. Watkins is just a junior and Adams is a senior. I am just saying while Hunter is good, there are others just as good. Some better.

Big stretch to try to compare Adams to Watkins based on this one play. IMO there may be some better but not Watkins this year.

The play was from last year. This year Watkins is better. But that is my opinion. Several others are of the same opinion as well. However as I am sure you've heard before opinions are just like (a part of the anatomy that shall remain nameless) everyone has one.

Watkins currently runs a 4.47 40 is 6'1" and weighs 200 lbs. he benches 290; power cleans 290; Squats 455; and has a 35" vertical. He also plays basketball and baseball . . . that is being pretty fast, pretty strong, and pretty athletic. Does Hunter play anything besides football? That being said, there are many other backs in the mountains that are very good also, I am not sure you could just pick one out as being much better than the rest. They all have their strengths.

Hunter's profile on rivals lists him as running a 4.58 40. Last time I checked 4.47 is faster than 4.58.

don't believe everything you read or hear, especially on Rivals, I can tell you for a fact that Hunter Adams is faster than 4.58

It has been my experience that sites such as these try to get confirmation before posting stats so that they are verified. If this is a verified time it must have been correct when originally posted. Perhaps he has gotten faster through the year. If so, he needs to update the stats and have them verified so that it portrays his most recent times---- coaches use these all the time, I don't think he would want incorrect information going out to coaches.

I disagree. Channing Fugate will play D-1, possibly big d-1, Wouldnt suprise me to see him even on uk or u of l.

I am a JC fan and biased. Of all the teams we have played this year, there are five backs that stand out to me.
JC-Dillion and Richardson
Belfry- Lee and #28(sorry do not know his name)
Dillion and Richardson have faced much more athletic teams and tougher competition, but the two Belfry backs are outstanding.
Even though I am a JC fan, the best back oin the mountains is Fugate, he is a man among boys. UK needs to get down and grab this kid now! I agree he could either be a running back or a line backer. Even though JC kept him in check, it has been many years since I have seen a kid with this size, speed and strength. He is a one man wrecking crew!

Matt Lentz, UK's current starting safety was a H.S. QB. Fugate appears to be in the 4.6 range speed wise, he also has good hands and can lay the wood.
No doubt, Fugate is a dominant back in the mts. Remember, he still has another year to grow and get stronger. He definitely is a D-1 prospect. But, when you put him in with the "best of the best" that land at D-1 schools, I think you'll see him as a Safety, LB, or TE. D-1 RB speed is suspect. But, as somebody else said, it depends where he goes as to what they need.

He is safety and TE material but idk about lb because he would still have to bulk up a lil more. But i hung out with him alot this summer at the waterpark. The kid is a rock no doubt,
