I know the Belfry game meant nothing for the JC team other than a loss on the season. It was a great game and need to shake it off. Johnson Central, uses this game to build thier confidence back!

This is a should win easily game, not a confidence builder. Holmes is a poor team in a weak district, except for Highlands. That being said, I would not be surprised to see Cov Cath give Wood a tough game. If JC is the team they been boasting about, the should have a cake walk to third round with Highlands.

Johnson Central. Despite the loss to Belfry, JC is very solid on both sides of the ball and Holmes has only won 3 games against very weak competition. I wouldn't want to see JC be overconfident, but they really shouldn't have any trouble with Holmes. The margin of victory will be dependent on the way each team plays, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it very lopsided in favor of JC.
Good luck Eagles!

Central without a doubt. The only trouble they will have is Highland to go on to the semi finals... If they can pull it off then they should be the next state champs because Highland is the most talented team handsdown in 5A.

Eagles by a huge margin.

I would simply love for JC, Belfry, and Bell to all bring back gear to the mountains. That would make a statement about what MOUNTAIN FOOTBALL is all about.

Belfrey and Bell have a better chance of bring home hardware to the mountains than Johnson Central. Actually I'm thinking of maybe only one trophy for the mountains.

Does any one know about that about homes. I don't know that much about them this year.

I know they have a great coach and he is doing a great job of building what could be a great football program in Covington. Holmes has a ton of talent and they are still in the process of realizing that and getting those kids committed to the program. They are in a building process at the moment but my guess is in the next year or two they will certainly be a team to contend with because the talent is certainly there.

Calpreps projects a score of, JC 46, Holmes 8. This site predicts the winner 90% of the time, although the score is not always right, but is usually a good indication of who will win.
Looking down the road a little, if a Highlands/JC game ends up happening the projection is Highlands 41, JC 21.
