Possible playoff matchups

1 Breathitt vs. 4 Garrad
2 Estill vs. 3 Somerset
2 Taylor vs. 3 Harlan Central
1 Wayne vs. 4 Powell
These are the more than likely matchups we could see. Does it appear we will have a Breathitt/Estill regional championship? Will Breathitt, Estill, H.C.C. all advance? Does Powell have a shot of pulling off the upset? Does Wayne or Taylor have a shot of winning the region?:confused:

I know this......It would be a close game......Breathitt has a habit of winning in games in which it is obvious that they were out-played and were clearly not as intense as the competition. Estill is a solid team, but they will not be sneaking up on Breathitt when they play again and will have the Bobcats's full attention just as SV will have P-Burg's full attention when they meet again.......Anything could happen and Estill has a good defense and that makes them dangerous.

Hazard vs Pikeville in the 3rd round!! It's always a great game when these two teams meet. Plus, if I am not mistaken, this game will be at Pikeville. I know both will have two games to win before it happens, so you never know!!

In my opinion they would have a chance of winning a shootout against TC, TC gave up 500 yards of offense against Hart County and has given up more than 450 yards of total offense in 5 of 9 games this season. With an inconsistent defense, all games are possible upsets....

Yes....Originally from Jackson....Moved to Campbellsville in 2006. What gave me away, the location "Campbellsville?" The TC is not for Taylor County, it is my initials if that is what you were looking at.

The TC coach said that he thought that the 3A district five was tougher than the 6th district and that he thought the 5th district had better teams top to bottom.....The only team he gave any respect to was Breathitt on his call-in show. Mighty big talk coming from an average team in my opinion.

The "TC" is my initials....I am not really a fan of any one certain team in this area....I have not lived here long enough to get emotionally involved.....I do cover Green Co. sports for the local radio station, so I guess I want them to succeed more than the rest...If the TC represented Taylor County it would be red and black.

Nope, Hopefully we will know by tonight.....One thing to remember is that outside the "fluke" win by TC over Somerset, they have not beaten any good teams. Who ever gets them in the first round should consider themselves fortunate. Wayne beat TC by 5, but they were playing with a QB that looked as if he could barely walk due to an ankle injury. Considering that the WC QB is one of the teams leading rushers, that was a big loss because he did not run the ball that game. Somerset beat Wayne like a drum and is considered the toughest team in the district even though they are down as compared to past seasons. Garrard probably has a 5, 000, 000\1 shot at beating Breathitt but the rest of the game are toss-ups...Could see a sweep by the 6th district. PC could beat TC, even though I think it is a long shot.

Still looking foward to and praying for that Raceland/Beechwood championship game. Its not going to be an easy road, LCA has shown what type of team they have. Hazard also has a great program, and I hear Williamsburg has a great program this year to. Regaurdless, I'd love to see Raceland win their first state championship, but if not, i'd love to see someone from our Bracket take the Trophy home. I'm always gun-ho for the underdog. And lets face it, just about anyone that faces Beechwood is. The road to the carpet wont be easy for anyone. But it will surely make every team better.

I know Raceland is undefeated but they have a long road during the playoffs. I believe There first two games will be at home then the 3rd and 4th round are away for them. Someone correct me if i am wrong. I am speaking as if they will be playing Williamsburg in the 3rd round and Hazard in the 4th round
