Yep. Thats why I said it. Lol

I will not give a field consideration unless they have nice stands on both sides. I am at Powell Co. & I think it is aweful not to have visitor seating. A good field must have good seating (on both sides), Good concession stand, clean bathrooms, roomy visitor & home locker rooms, good parking, etc. Throw out Breathitt. No visitor seats. Parking isn't that great either. Also, the field drops off 6-8 " over on the visitors sideline. Ankle breaker for visitor as well as home teams!!!

Hazard, Bell Co., Breathitt Co. is 3-5. Not in any other.
Is the top 5. Going be the atmosphere and the facilities.

I agree with this list as well, and of course adding Johnson Central.

Last year I think. Emats Inc payed for both of those fields.

Its not in the mountains but I think Henry R. Evans stadium at Russell is as good as anyplace in Eastern Kentucky to watch a football game. Lots of room and seating. New Bermuda grass field. The restrooms and field house need to be replaced though. If that were to happen there isn't a better place. Also the home of the only flaming scoreboard I know of.
#50
I would have to agree with you fball.

for me.. id say belfry middle.. i like vipperman stadium best! feels like home..

might be on the home side.. i dont know.. but visitors side isn't much.. parking didn't flow well.. and restrooms and stuff seemed old.. just my opinon..

they aren't in northern ky but in eastern ky i LOVE Ashland's Putnam Stadium. No, it may not be "state of the art" or turfed, but there is something about the feeling of that stadium that is below even the first row of bleechers, the grass field, which is always in great condition. the chekerboard endzones, the whole plays screams tradition and SMASH MOUTH FOOTBALL. which if you saw the Raceland/Ashland game you saw just that, or the Ashland/Woodford Co game. its a great atmosphere.

by the way BHS and Hazard both seem to have great facilities, though i've never been to either of them.

Then i have to also be quite partial to my home field. Ram Stadium. Sure seating can be an issue it games with abnormal crowds, which its been that way this year, and i know that the field needs to be extended, but man, i love that place. I've got the same spot in the endzone, right under the scoreboard, every home game. rain or shine, hot or cold. and the consesions are a plus as well lol. i love those brats!
#56
Belfry and JC probly have the best two in eastern kentucky.

i agree not a bad seat in the place.

i think we would have to win 3 games to get there.

There are alot more seats on the visitors side at Henry R. Evans than at CAM or just about anywhere else. There is also alot of standing room around the field.

As for the traffic. Any game Ive been to that has a crowd as big as the Russell/Belfry games has had traffic flow problems. I didn't think I was ever going to get out at the Russell/Belfry 2006 game.

The bathrooms and fieldhouse as I said need updated badly. They are old and need replaced. It that were to happen I've seen no place better in the area.
