I saw on another site that he was being recruited by USC, that speaks for itself.

Micah Johnson has been offered by every big school in the country from the east coast to the west coast. IMO he will pcik between UK and UGA and I look for him to sign with UK. He has some former teammates at UK as well as his older brother Chritian Johnson who is a FR OL for UK. Johnson's father is set to be shipped to Iraq in September and his father supposely wants him to be at UK...oh yeah he other brother who attends a JUCO in California is also expected to join the UK football season next season. I also look for Johnson's high school teammate Leonard Gordon to sign with UK....Gordon is a 3 star DB that has his final 3 down to UK, Vandy, and Notre Dame and he has offers from LSU, WV, UofL, and Penn State. This is looking like this may be the best class in a long time at UK. UK has allready got committments from 6 real good players and are leading for several more....if they can win just 4 games IMO this will be a monster recruiting class for UK standards.

Maybe things will start to turn around for UK football.

hopefully, I hate to see them lose all the time....these winning 4 games a year isnt cutting it for me lol

I have also heard that UK now leads for the services of Pulaski SW's Josh Minton.....This will be huge for the Cats if they can land Minton to go along with Micah Johnson. Talk about a mean D in the future.

if rich brooks is given the oppurtunity, i think he can turn the wildcats around. he came into a bad situation and hopefully hes given a few more years to line things out, sounds like recruiting is going well, so maybe things will start going in the right direction. and if you dont think hes a good coach ask the fans in oregon if they would take him back 8)

I am going to add this to this thread even though it is about Micah Johnson but I am going to use this thread to keep giving updates on UK recruiting as I receive them. For those who remember Maurice Grinter who played at Fairdale last year and signed with UofL it seems is recruitment may have opened back up. Grinter was a late qualifer at UofL and UofL used the scholly they had promised him and gave it to someone else and asked Grinter to greyshirt. Grinter and his family are supposely very upset about this from what I hear. Grinter is a very good athlete who can play several positions at the college level. I have heard that he will enroll at UK in January and be on the field for the Cats in the 06 season and if this does indeed happen this is a big catch for UK. The UK coaches like Grinter at LB and he has the size and speed to be a very good OLB in the SEC IMO, though he does need to hit the weights and gain some muscle on his frame without losing his speed. Grinter was a 3 star player last year and a top 5 player in the state and was a 2 sport star in football and basketball at Fairdale High SChool in Louisville. I have heard that Tubby has given him the ok to be a member of the basketball team if he can handle all of that into his schedule with school and football. Once again this is just a rumor right now but I have heard it from some credible sources so lets just see what happens and hope that UofL's loss is UK's gain.
