JC should win this one easily! I wouldn't risk my starters beyond what is necessary. Can't wait til Halloween night at Putnam Stadium!!

I think the difference will be 4 touchdowns in favor of Central.

Another game at Putnam for the district championship, if Ashland can do their part against Station next week and Central doesn't have a disaster against Montgomery County.

The LAST time we played an important game against the Tomcats in Putnam, I hope everyone in Eagle Nation remembers what happened there with the field goal and comes ready to play (and cheer) hard...

Amen. You can bet that video of that kick might make an appearance in the Eagle film room sometime that week.

I am happy Ashland's good again. They made good rivals for us. For a while there, I thought Central-Ashland might become one of the best football rivalries in EKY. If you consider that game in Ashland, then the one in the playoffs the next year where Tommy Taylor caught the game winning TD in the last minute...

I still think Tommy's catch off that halfback pass is the biggest play in Central football history, but that's probably worthy of a thread in itself.

Well if there was 1 that forgot it..or wasn't there to remember it....I would say you are right about the film going to be played that week lol

Still, you can never overlook Montgomery County.

They have had some personnel problems this year, but they've got a good coach, and he'll put it together there one day. I just hope it's not this week.
#13
No you can't overlook Montgomery Co. They can score! And I'm sure Matney won't let the players.

As for Ashland, the only way to stop a bad field goal call again is to make sure it don't come down to a field goal. ha! A two touchdown lead should solve that problem. But then again Woodford Co. found out that sometimes that's not enough. Should be a good game. I just hope JC takes care of Montgomery Co. and Ashland does their part with BS so that it will be as important a game as we all hope for.
#14
Montgomery upset Woodford last year so I hope that no one is over looking this team but JC should have their way in this one.
#15
JC rolls 42-8
#16
JC stays perfect.
#17
Going to get ugly quick. JC has no trouble this week. 56-6
#18
The Golden Eagles will not overlook anyone. Coach Matney will make sure of that! He does a great job of getting his kids focused no matter who they play. His teams treat every game as the most important game of the season. Johnson Central will be ready and they will roll to another huge win. Probably another 500+ rushing for the stat book.

Im going with Johnson Central in this ball game it should be a good game but one thing for sure Matney will have the golden eagles ready to play some smash mouth football and it will be a long night for Montgomery County.
#23

I know its a week away, but who will be the favorite in the JC vs Ashland game? From what I've read on here, JC "appears" to be thought by many to be a much better team than Ashland. But the game is at Ashland. Is the home field advantage enough to overcome the supposed superiority of the JC team? Is Ashland's field considered to be a tough place for the visiting team to play? Heck, I may miss a Highlands game to drive down and watch this one. Sounds like there is a little bad blood in the past due to some field goa and with the District championship on the line, it should be a great one.
#26
JC 4+ td's
#27
JC will win this one very big... Im calling it 60 to 14
#28
Central by a huge margin. The only team I've seen so far that can hang with them is Bryan Station. Ashland will be a big test.
#29
JC wins this game big.
