Letcher Co Central 47 Pikeville 0 (JV)
#1
Congrats on jv team. Big game out of Logan Johnson. I heard he was awesome. If anyone has stats on how he did, let me know.

Sounds like fair news. I would like to see how they perform against other 5A teams though. Did we have a running game and how did the defense do are my interest. We will always have an offense that can score but the defense will be our security in the big games. I know that they just shut out an opponent but i want to see them tested.

JV defense was up to the task. Only 2-3 positive yard possessions for the panthers. Good balance offensively. passing game and running game were both successful. Don't know if any JV teams on letchers schedule can match up with them. They have size, speed, and execute well on both sides of the ball.

Thanks alot.

Just got some stats on Logan Johnson. However they are from the varsity game against Harlan Co. He recorded 6 solo tackles and 3 assisted. This kid is already showing that he knows were to be on the field. Way to go young blood!!!! You are a leader on defense.

What year is he in school?

Logan Johnson is a freshmen. He is related to Tim Couch i think first cousins maybe. He may be the most highly talked of freshmen in the state.

Was he #6?
#10
He wears #2 pretty certain. Just as his ancestor's.
#11
How many of LCC kids that played in this game also start for the varsity?
#12
He does wear #2 and is Tim's first cousin.

Logan Johnson is an incredible athlete and will only get better and better. I have played ball with this kid and he seriously means business. I cannot wait to see how good he is by his senior year.

We had a freshman that plays varsity defense, play Offense for us (#2) and a freshman lineman that plays varsity(#55) for us (play defense). It is JV, so freshman should play in my opinion. You of all people should know that I would never do that to Pikeville. I have told you for awhile now that our freshman look like varsity players. Even the doctor that did their physicals, asked when he was going to see the freshman....haha

I think the more these kids get a chance to play, the better they get.

Please don't take my quote out of context. I only wanted to know how many really good players were there for both teams. We too had a couple of Friday night fighters out there to get some more experience because they are young. I sent them because I knew you would do the same and they would get plenty of work against really good kids. I am sorry I not elaborate more and caused some confusion. i know you would never bring your entire varsity down to play against our JV.

Logan is a really good player and kid...take my word for it.
but he is only as good as his o-line and recievers
ask him and he'll tell you the same thing
