Pikeville @ Allen Central 9-26-08

The Panthers take their 1-0 district record into Floyd County to take on the Rebels. Scores and thoughts below.

Allen Central will hang tough early with their ground attack, but the Panthers will pull away with Harmon leading the way.

Pikeville 49
Allen Central 14

I agree, I think it will be a close game going into the 3rd, but Pikeville will have more manpower over the Rebels.

Pikeville-42
Allen Central-16

If Ac can slow Harmon Pikeville in a close one. If they don't Pikeville by three tds.
#4
Pikeville by 14 or more..

Pikeville wins in a suprisingly close contest 20-22 in a supprise to most.

This only depends if AC can recover from their injuries.(with injuries it would be 21-58 Pikeville, imo.

Pikeville will dominate this game! Alot of People must not understand the Quality of teams they have played against to think this will be a close one. Dont let the 1-3 record fool ya. I think you will see alot more Jv players in the second half, Pikeville has a few injuries to take care of also. IMO . go panthers

After watching both of these teams i am more impressed with AC. If they can hold things together for 4 qts i think it will be AC.
#11
If Pikeville doesn't come ready to play then Allen Central is going to give them all they can handle. I don't see Pikeville losing this one but it is a possibility.

Best of luck to both!

Allen Central is not in the same league as Pikeville.

Pikeville - 42
Allen Central - 13

Over before halftime.

Pikeville 55, AC 12 (on JV)

Saw where AC is rated over Pikeville... How crazy is that. No game here, as it will be a blow out for P......
#15
this a game pikeville must win to end up 5-5 on the season.
#16
Allen Central has more than u think... there running back is very strong
#17
Should be a very physical game to watch and I will be rooting on the Rebels. But Pikeville has the more legit shot at winning. They better not overlook AC one bit. Best of luck to both teams Friday night.

On what basis do people really see AC with a chance in this game? It is so hard to understand why people can not be honest...

I was being honest. Like I said Pikeville has the more legit shot of winning and as I hate to say it that more than likely will. Doesn't mean that fans can't have confidence in their team. I would love to see Allen Central pull off the upset. Even though AC is 3-1 and Pikeville is 1-3 it would be definitely considered an upset. Again best of luck to both teams.

Good luck Pikeville!!

You can think that but Allen Central cost themselves in their game last week against Paintsville, which was one they were very much in. Pikeville is not Pikeville of year's past this season either.

This is probably the best team AC has had in the past decade so I wouldn't count them out of this one especially if the Pikeville players are thinking like most fans in this thread thinking that AC is going to lay down for them, because they are wrong.

Anyone who thinks AC will beat Pikeville is thinking with their hearts and not their heads. This one will be over early. AC could have their best team ever and Pikeville could be down and Pikeville would still win by 28 at least. Pikeville is a better team than most people think....like the 15 people who picked Betsy Layne to beat them, lol...and the people who think this will be a game.

If Pikeville comes in and plays their A game then their is no reason why they should lose this one. Like I said, if the players are thinking like most are in this thread then it could be a lot closer than what you may think.

For the record, Allen Central has never beaten Pikeville in football. But that's why you play'em and tomorrow night will be interesting, especially if the forecast holds true and it rains!

Rebs Got a chance, I agree that Pikeville better not overlook them this year but I think Harmon will be to much for the Rebs.

Weather could be a factor, and in my opinion a very sloppy field is the only thing that may keep this game close. The best team Allen Central has had in 10 years versus the worst team Pikeville has had in 10 years = Pikeville 49 and Allen Central 21 on a dry track or Pikeville 49 and Allen Central 21 on a wet and sloppy field.

I assume that by picking the same identical score that you are saying that weather won't be a factor??
