Thanks for the update, but I thought Pikeville could have made it a closer game when i heard it was 28-20
#3
Congrats Catholic!
#4
I heard the game was close at the beginning but Lex Cath. pulled away. That may have been because of better conditioning.

No it was simple numbers. We played them tough but they just had more fresh legs to send in than we did and we just ran out of gas.

Guess the gas prices were to high in Pike Co.

Good job Pikeville in competing with a very good team. It is a game that can be built upon and a lot of good taken from for future use.

HAIL PIKEVILLE! Wrote:No it was simple numbers. We played them tough but they just had more fresh legs to send in than we did and we just ran out of gas.

This worries me because, is it numbers? or is it mentality?

I was told that at the Ashland game, as soon as Ashland started getting up on Pikeville, everyone, the line especially, just closed down mentally and pretty much gave up.

How many seniors are starters on this team? Who is leading them when they are out on the field?

I can assure you that this wasnt the same team that showed up against Ashland. I think these boys learned a lesson from that game and it showed last night.

I think Pikeville finally played up to their potential. The offense played very well, and the defense while it struggled, didn't give up many big plays. I hope all the people predicted LexCath to "slotter" Pikeville realize that Pikeville is not a bad football team.
