What teams, here in the mountains would you like to see play each other every year.

JCHS vs ROCK Castle, Bell, P-urg, Belfry, LCC
Paintsville vs Magoffin, Raceland, South Floyd, Allen Central
Belfry vs P-burg, Bell, Rock Castle, LCC

The list could go on. What do you guys think.

I would love to see this year in year out, but i would add russell into the mix as well.

I like those, but I still say bring back Ashland and P-burg!!!!

Perry County Central and Hazard both Consolidated VS. ANY TEAM IN EASTERN KENTUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then with the right coaching staff vs Trinity or St. X. I wish PCC and HHS would consolidate but it probably wont ever happen.

JCHS and Russell.....and Sheldon Clark. Wouldn't mind seeing Belfry and Russell play at the begining of the scheduled season.

I would like to see Russell's schedule look like the following
District games
Mason
Fleming
West
Lewis

Ashland
Boyd
GC
Ironton
Johnson Central
Then rotate a team from WV. Such as Wayne, Parkersburg, or maybe even a Tenn or Virginia team.

How is this possible? Paintsville is a 1A school, while Magoffin is currently 3A.

I could see Paintsville moving up a class, but not two. I also could see Magoffin dropping down a class, but two seems unlikely.

I can only assume that you mean that Paintsville is moving up while Magoffin moves down, putting both in 2A. If this is the case, how would this affect the current 2A district with P-Burg, Valley, Bath, and Morgan?

Next seasons 2009-2010 realignment have Magoffin County joining Class 3A's District 6, along with Breathitt County, Estill County, and Powell County.

Paintsville will continue to be in Class 1A's district 8, along with Allen Central, Betsy Layne, Phelps, Pikeville, and South Floyd.

I would have love to have seen the two play one another this season as it would be quite close, but Belfry is just too much for Prestonsburg. I also don't see the two scheduling one another again until Prestonsburg brings up some very good athletes which will be in the next 2-3 seasons.

Paintsville is one of the smallest schools in 1A and I don't see them moving up. The state won't let teams play down a class unless their enrollment drops that much, and I don't see MC enrollment dropping enough to drop them down 2 whole classes. I think you might want to check your sources.
