What is everyones predictions on this district? I'll go with.....
1.Pikeville
2.Paintsville
3.Hazard
4.South Floyd
5.Allen Central
6.Phelps
7.Jenkins
Pikeville should be the favorite for another district title and maybe for another region title. This team should be the class of the region IMO once they start to gel under Coach Jackson. Paintsville should be much improved but I don't see them winning at Pikeville but you never know. The two teams could play for a district and regional title. Hazard has a nice program and could contend for a district title. From what I hear South Floyd lost a lot but they have a nice program and a very good coach and they will be dangerous and should make the playoffs.

I think your predictions for District 8 are right on, but I think the region will be more wide open this year. Somerset, Lynn Camp and Harlan, will all field good enough teams to make a strong run in the playoffs, and onething will help is whoever wins district 7 will have 3 home playoff games.

I agree with you on Lynn Camp and Somerset. I think the regional champion will be either Pikeville, Paintsville, Lynn Camp, or Somerset. With district 7 having homefield it wil help them a lot. I predict a regional championship of Pikeville at Lynn Camp. Usually when these two meet in the playoffs it is a great game and I would expect the same this year.

I wasn't just putting teams down after Paintsville.... AC is supposed 2 have the best team they've ever had this year, so i say they'll be better than South Floyd.... and maybe even Hazard, but they generally have a good program so i wasn't sure, but we'll have to wait and see
07-10-2005, 02:02 AM
there is no way allen central should be in front of south floyd
07-10-2005, 02:36 AM
well there is this year, i say AC is gonna be better than SF... but not the next year or the year after that as far as i know... all i know is SF lost sum and AC is returning alot, i know their running back, i'd say he runs a 4.7 40 m dash, squats 500, benches 350, and deadlifts 500, and hes about 5'9 180 sumthin pounds...
i dont know about you, but i wouldn't wanna be in front of that when hes running down the field! Cap_PDT_0:

well here is what i was thinking yea it seems a little out of order but iv heard about how strong and experienced paintsville is this year. and everyone konws that the top 2 teams will be pikeville and paintsville. i really dont like paintsville i just think they will be the team to beat this year i mean i hope pikeville does beat em but i dont think it will happen. and yea i have jenkins at 3 but i have heard that sf has lost everything and its on another high school football website that charles robinson from allen central went to prestonsburg.
07-10-2005, 05:08 PM
well it'll be a game to watch between us and paintsville....the Panthers aren't layin down for em' this year so i dont think they'll win.. but ya never know
yea i heard bout charles transfering, but thats not who i was talking about, i was talking about David Slone, the guy is a beast

oh i see did he play last year if so what number
07-11-2005, 12:43 AM
We all can tell you're a Panther fan too Blitz by your name....lol, only teasing. If you look at it on paper Paintsville should actually have the toughest team in the district and one of the tougher ones in the region because they return a team full of starters who have played/started since their freshman season. It is Pikeville who has been Paintsville's achilles heel forever. Should be interesting at the end of October.
07-11-2005, 12:53 AM
i dont care what AC's running back can do he still needs a line and to my knowledge AC's has never had one.
i aint suckin SF but i know they will beat AC
as for the District i think Pikeville will be #1 with the usuals jogging for #2 - #4

i have to agree with jkwan33
i have to disagree with vincent vega
im not a fan of pikeville or painstville but looking at the facts paintsville just has a better team this year im mean year in and year out pikeville is a contender or fav for the number one spot in the district but not this year the district will hae a new look. and i look for south floyd to be very close to the bottom if not the last spot.

well they might be the last spot to make the playoffs but they wont be last in their district.
people can hype up other teams all they want and that is fine with me but still the regulars will make the playoffs. Pikeville, Paintsville, Hazard and SF. most likely in that order but we will have to wait and see.
facts on paper dont mean anything. Pikeville has a new coach and wait and see if he dont win the District in his first try.

Exactly, facts dont mean $hit.... remember the year Fleming Neon had like 22 seniors and came to Pikeville and got beat? that wasn't supposed 2 happen according to "facts" but it did
Well yea the regulars will more than likley make it, but wouldn't it be nice for a change to see a team like AC or Jenkins make play offs?
I think CoachJ will win district first try, and proably region.... he knows his football and will have us ready for who ever we play

ok scratch everything i said about AC, the guy i was talking about transfered to p-burg along with a friend that is just about as strong and fast as he is, coach deroset should make a hell of a player out of these guys
07-16-2005, 03:03 PM
ohh
yea i know when we played them charles robinson was a good player he was strong and fast a very good mixtur for a running back.
i wish some one could let us know something about phelps the only thing i have heard is that they had a head coaching change i dont who they got and i havent heard anythign else about them.

The unfortuante thing for Paintsville is that they play Pikeville at the end of the regular season. Pikeville will start out slow because they may play possibly the toughest non-district schedule of any class A team in the state. With Pburg, NCC, Corbin, and Belfry in the first 5 weeks Pikeville could very easily have a losing record going into district play. The good thing for Pikeville is that those losses won't matter and will only make them a better team. Sure Paintsville returns more starters but Pikeville is a larger school with more depth and they will reload with new players like they do every season. Pikeville is #5 in the(the other websites)class A rankings and Lynn Camp is #8 I believe. Paintsville is not ranked but presaon rankings don't mean much. Go ahead a write it down because I have seen it happen many times and I GUARANTEE Pikeville wins another district title in 2005. By the time the end of the regular season and playoffs come around(after Pikeville has taken some losses from out of district opponents and adjusted to their new coach and system)Pikeville will be a very good team. They finish the regual season with Paintsville and Hazard and I will be shocked if either team comes within 2 TDs of Pikeville. Pikeville is the king of Class A football in the mountains and they have still for the most part owned their district(besides 2001)when they have not had good teams for Pikeville standards. Pikeville gota major upgrade with the addiation of Coach Jackson from their previous head coach and it is going to be hard for any team in district 8 to hang with them in the future.

i hope your right i hope pikeville does beat paintsville i was just giving my opinion.
