thecoacher Wrote:Fleming County started several sophomores last year that should be solid this year as juniors. Coach Spencer told me they have been working hard in the weight room. Some that stand out are:
Steven Mitchell 6'3 300+ OT and DT
Ryan Jackson 6' 240+ FB and LB (set out most of last year)
Josh Gray 6' 180 WR and DB (very athletic)
Preston Dugan 5'8 WR and DB (shifty athlete)
Fleming County should be a lot better this year. They will have several starters back. I agree with these that are mentioned and I would add Andrew Earlywine to that list. He is a hardworker and should get a lot of carries this year. Another lineman would be Ryan Lamkin. He is getting big, but I am not sure how much lifting he has been doing.

From the way things look, Johnson Central's Nathan Dillon and Ryan Harlow should be amoung to top Juniors next year.

I look for Nathan to be the next great JC TB. We've been really lucky the past 4 or 5 years with Blume and Grimm and now Nathan. He may not have the speed of the others yet, but he has better size and is probably a little stronger. He has a D-1 frame.

Belfry:
-Thomas Varney will be a 1000 yard rusher and the next Belfry feature back following Ivan Lee's turn. The kid showed signs of his ability last season s he was primarily
-Timmy Lovern was a standout in special teams last season, I expect Lovern to get more touches this year whether it be running or receiving. If the Pirates choose to develop Lovern into a SE, with his speed and hands, coupeld with the fact he will be against a single DB at all times, we could see some huge numbers.

Lawrence County has an above average Junior class this year. I am not going to name the standouts as I am afraid of missing someone.

Are you serious? If thats what ER has to offer for the next few years then they might be in some serious trouble. What about that Casey kid? I though he was supposted to be a big playmaker. And as far as the Kelly and Smith kids I'v never heard of them before. But I heard that May boy is related to Dustin May of Belfry is that true?

IDK if anyone has already said it, but Rashard Carter from Ashland. The kid is a true speed back great at finding holes.

Just for your info, Max does not play running back, he did for one week last year then they moved him to split end, and thats were hes been playing ever since, he is a really good DB though.

I agree 100%. From what I saw of Max Rogers, which was little but impressive. I think he will play just about every DB position Russell has. He may always be in the game, so that Mitchell, Abrams, and Bailey can get some rest for 1 or 2 series a game. (if he doesn't get the safety job) Especially Abrams, he's put on quite a bit of weight, which I think he will be tremendous, but that weight takes a toll on conditioning. They will need him to be just a hard a hammer in the 4th as he is in the first to close out wins in big games.

I thought he was one of the best if not the best back we faced last year. This kid is lights out fast.

Letcher Central has an outstanding group of juniors this season:

Chase Adams-CB,S,WR
Greg Collins-RB,CB
Dustin Brown-WR,LB,S
there are many more juniors but these are the ones that stick out the most 2 me

Does anyone know any good juniors from the likes of Perry Central, Whitley County, Harlan, or Paintsville or any other school?
