The Detroit Pistons have fired Head Coach Flip Saunders. He will be replaced by Piston assistant Michael Curry.

I think this is dumb. He is a very good coach IMO. Oh well. I guess they have a better reason to get rid of him.

I stated a few weeks ago that this would happen if the Pistons didn't at least make it to the finals. 3 straight years to the conference championship and no finals appearances warrants a termination. The Pistons have had championship contending teams for 5 or 6 years now, and have only gotten 1 championship to show for it. I think it's a good move in my opinion.
