LC centerfielder Shantelle Horn was ejected from the semi final game for throwing dirt on the home plate umpire.

Will she have to sit out the championship game???

You are correct she was ejected, but after the game the umpire came up to one of the coaches and apologized saying that he made a mistake. School officials have been talking with the KHSAA all day to try to appeal the decision, but as it stands now she will sit out.

And from what I am hearing is it was just an accident that she was upset with herself and just threw some dirt and low and behold who did it hit the umpire.

I was told the umpire missed the call but still IMO it doesn't give you the right to throw the dirt. I doubt KHSAA will make a change on the ruling.
