The meet the coaches night for LCHS football is Friday, March 14,2008 at 6:30 pm at the Lawrence Co. Community Center across from the high school.

If he won't be there and he is a coach then why is it called "Meet the new LC coaches Friday night"?

i know coach dixon personally and he decided not to coach this year here.

That's up to coach to tell, he had good reasoning for his decision though.

From what I was told he wasn't asked back. Along with another one, but I don't know his name. The rest were asked back.

No Dixon decided not to coach this year, not because he didn't have a position, because he didn't want to.

THe other wanted to coach but had some disagreements and felt unwanted.

How did the "meet the coach" turn out? Was there lots of free food? I really like Dixon. This football program should be a success this year. Good luck Dawgs.

Does anybody have a list of his assistants for next year? I know he has a couple from last year. Cecil, and I think a guy who helped him at the middle school and varsity from last year, but who are the rest?

Jimmy Skinner, Blake Preece, I forgot the other name but he was the head coach at Fairland Ohio the last couple of years and Coach Cecil.

Will Dixon be leaving to go coach somewhere else? I figured since maybe the Pikeville job was filled by a former Bulldog that he might go that route. Has anybody heard?

I was recently told that LC is going to have somewhere near 70 kids out this fall? Any truth to this?? If so this is a big step in the right direction. BTW, Coach Salmons is taking over the youth league so he is doing everything right in my opinion.
