Highlands should have several very good juniors next year. While Brandon Roller and Austin Collinsworth are getting a lot of "ink" (and they should), there are several other really talented kids in that class including Will Bardo (will start at safety or corner- 6'3" and can fly); Hunter Schlosser ( will start on the O line-6'0", 230 and very strong); Tyler Grubbs (will start on O line-6'3" 240); Nick Buten (will start at wide receiver-6'0" with great hands) and David Hogue (6'3" and will probably start at a receiver spot or at outside linebacker) quickly come to mind. Overall, it may be one of the most talented classes to come through Highlands in a very long time. If the Birds are to repeat as champs, the kids in this class are really going to have to step up big time and play like they are seniors. The Senior class has some very good players also, but they are going to have to provide a lot of senior leadership on and off the field to bring the juniors along.

Sheldon Clark will have a strong junior class next year. They have 3 junior DB's who are as good as anyone around.
Matt Slone: CB
Cody Slone: CB
Ian Bertling: FS

I think the Smith kid and Chase Adams from LCC should have a great season.

Fleming County started several sophomores last year that should be solid this year as juniors. Coach Spencer told me they have been working hard in the weight room. Some that stand out are:
Steven Mitchell 6'3 300+ OT and DT
Ryan Jackson 6' 240+ FB and LB (set out most of last year)
Josh Gray 6' 180 WR and DB (very athletic)
Preston Dugan 5'8 WR and DB (shifty athlete)

For Prestonsburg...
Michael Burchett (QB)
Austin McKinney (HB/LB)
Zak Key (OL/DL)
All 3 are very skilled players that played alot as sophomores. Each will play valuable rolls this season.

For Pikeville
FB/MLB JR Robinson
OG/DT Jarred "Moose" Anderson
OT/DT Justin Mullins
QB Blake Branham
All these kids are going to have to produce in order for us to have a successful season.

What do you think about Dusty Khoshreza and Dylan Conn?

Chico looked really improved during spring drills and Dusty did as well. Ive known Dusty since he was an eighth grader and have told him many times that if hed just get a little meaner hed be hard to handle. Its going to be a healthy competition between he and Ethan Murray for the starting Center spot. Chico looks like he could be vying for the starting OLB slot.

Cory Gannon- The Pike Central

Ive heard that "San Antionio" should be coming back, but thats just school boy banter lolol. But Pikeville's junior class next year will most likely be small, even though the kids at Pikeville are recruitng kids in the school as hard as they can to play, but they are very dedicated and should make a big difference. Moose will be a straight up beast next year, just like his older brother Jason "Gravy" Anderson used to do back in his hay-day.

Knott Central: Braxton Ratliff .Craft and the Newhouse kid

Moose needs to get a whole lot meaner to go along with that strength and massive frame. He should be alright this year though. The addition of 6'5" 265 lb Justin Mullins will be a huge add on offense and defense. He has been working his tail off in the weight room along with everyone else. I hope your school boy banter turns out to be true.

I think the Kelly kid from ER will step it up! So will the May boy and Alex Smith.I think these will be crucial players for ER in the next 3 years.

I might be or I might not be. I guess if you wanted to find out get your hands on an ER roster. Maybe theres more than 1 May boy.
