Are you sure? I was told it is in effect now. KHSAA wasn't very clear.

I believe it starts this year. Coach Jamerson told his P-Burg team and I got the news. It says for the 2008 and 2009 season and beyond. This is the 2008 season.

See Im not the only one. It says 2008 season. I think it means track season not school year. They make contracts for this stuff and it will last for 2008 and 2009 Track and Cross Country seasons. Most likely beyond.

Cody is a great runner and he is just a sophmore. This kid has great potential and I think we will see his time under 50 sometime in his high school career. I compiled this list from the best times that I have seen through meets and regionals. Other that I have seen outside of track. But remember these are just "preseason rankings" and they are by all means not anything done by an expert...haha

The Powell county boys are going to be huge threats and I think they have it locked up, but you never know. Chase and Cody are two hard workers and young, these boys are going to be good! But the Powell boys , if they can both get under 50 watch out Lousville!

If Valley is still in this region, you can pencil in Laura Perkins as #1 in the Triple Jump. She has dominated this region for 3 years now and she is a junior this year. She has 3 top 8 finishes in the state if I am not mistaken. Last year she placed 4th in the state.

Courtney Smallwood from Valley will also be up there in shot put. She has gone to state at least the last 2 years.

Yeah I know how you feel man. You never know when a new runner or even freshmen will come out and be outstanding. You have a buddy to push you. The 800 is so weak this year its not funny. Im hoping to be down to around a 2:05. Its possible. I broke my fibula and serverly sprained my ankle during football season but it only made me faster I think. Im hoping my new team mate, Weston Smith will help push me in the mile and 800. He runs a 5k in 18:30 something. He close to me. But I know what your feeling. My 400 is weak...lol I may get 55 but thats as low as ill see, I don't plan on running it this year.
