I wasnt talking about you....I am deliberately calling out those who sat here and said that Pville had no chance... should get killed.... who said that all Pville fans cant seriously think that our kids could win... well we do...and they DID

Congrats Paintsville! Love to see you guys go all the way!

Yeah I know, they played really good for a team that had never played in Rupp. I think Murray was the only player to have any actual state tourney experience.

Does anyone know anything about Holmes ? This could possibly be who the Tigers will be playing on Friday. I know we had already beat Bardstown earlier in the season by 12 or 13.

I'm sure it will be Holmes. They went 31-2 and they beat the crap out of alot of teams. Example for some reason they played Magoffin County and beat them 75-19. This team can flat play! Their only two losses were to Louisville Male who Valley beat and Newport Central Cathollic by one point.

Looks like they will more than likely be the Tigers opponent come Friday because they are already up on Bardstown 28-13 in the 2nd quarter.

I remember the Magoffin Co game but I didn't know who beat them. This team must be unreal.

Yea they are really on a roll right now, but Male beat them. Valley beat Male. So that tells you they have weaknesses and BMR is as good as any at exposing opponents weaknesses. This will be the biggest test, possibly a team that could knock catholic off if they get hot. Paintsville can play with them I think, but they will not be able to run with them. They are going to have to slow it down and make them play a style they can't. Male beat them and both teams scored in the 40's. So that should tell you that if you slow down the tempo and make it alot less scoring, it will go to Paintsville's advantage.

I agree... I've seen highlights from a few of Holmes games and all they do is dunk. They are very athletic team, only one real true shooter in Henderson but they are very, very athletic!

Well I hope we can expose their weaknesses and come out with the win... If we do slow it down which I agree with you we should have a pretty good chance...

Man Paintsville played a great game tonight. They were on their A game and I agree with Blackcat Student I'm surprised they didn't have the first game Rupp jitters. Landon had an awesome game with 35 points and proved that he can play against anyone in this State. Congrats Tigers and good luck v.s. a tough tough Cov. Holmes team.

Way to go boys!! Good game. J-Town played a good game also. BTW, I know for a fact a few JC fans were there with Paintsville tee-shirts and hats on. I saw them and spoke with them. That's how the 15th are supposed to support each other down state.

And that's the way it should be. Glad to see them coming out and showing the Tigers some support.

congrats to p-ville
I am not from the area, and wanted to point that out since everyone is so positive on this site from the mountains, but i think that LS showed what he has developed into a complete player. When he need to score, pass , shoot, etc. He impressed me. I know that this is going against (the first adment.) in the montains but the one that scores the most poins is not always the key to the team. He did not win the MVP for the region but someone please tell me that you ACTUALLY think that they could've won without him. I am sure that I am wrong, but I think that great players do what it takes to win, even if that is sometimes taken a back seat.
LS- good luck-great game- and congrats on the ability to do what it takes to win- even it that means you dont win MVP

I thought PHS's downfall would be TO's. They did a real good job until the 4th quarter when Bundy turned it over 6 times. He had a charge, tried to dribble between 2 defenders (not once, but twice), and threw the ball away 3 times. He just needs to settle down. How can you play almost mistake free for 3 quarters and then just blow up?
If Bundy will just settle down, the Tigers might just play Lex Cath Saturday morning. When you get that far, anything can happen.
Awesome game by Landon. Big ups to Murray for a great 2nd quarter to help the Tigers to a 10 point halftime lead.

Jeffersontown is going to be a very good team in the next few years. The Chargers only graduate two seniors this year in Gagle & Cason, but the two brother in Thomas and Tim Jackson are only sophomores, and the 6'10 Reeves is just a junior. I look for the Chargers to be in Rupp again next season.
