The NFHSA ruled that metal cleats are permissible for softball beginning this year-2008. What are the thoughts on this?

As a former college softball player I think this is a great thing for high school softball. The metal cleats give you much more traction than molded cleats. A lot of parents are concerned about safety but my advice is, if any girl is wanting to play college ball they should start wearing them now b/c college coaches require it.

Why in the world would you not wear them? That's only practical.
