I was in the pep section I watched the whole thing...hazards students was going to do a dance on the sideline not on the floor so that there wouldnt be any problems then perrys fans thinks that they should come on the floor too but the police made them go back off the floor and i dunno why randy did this but he came over to hazards pep section and tried to get them to sit down when they wasnt even on the floor so then some of hazards girls started screaming and dancing and randy pushed them...they diddnt arrest him at the game but i think the girls parents pressed charges im not for sure but he did get handcuffed after the game and escorted outside the gym...

It was a shame the way Hazard's fans were treated. Some of the kids in the pep section had worked on a routine to perform at half-time. Then they announced that no one was allowed on the floor at half-time except cheerleaders. Anyone that came out on the floor would be escorted out. So at half-time Hazard's cheerleaders went on the floor on our end and the students were going to do their dance on the sideline. Several boys from PCC's pep section got up and started walking across the floor to Hazard's side. They were stopped at mid-court by the police and made to turn around. I'd like to know why they weren't escorted out like they had announced? Then some guy came running down to Hazard's pep section screaming and telling them to sit down then he either grabbed/hit a girl and then the police grabbed him.
It was also announced that we were not allowed to go onto the floor and congratulate our team after the game.

It really is a shame how we was treated...I will never understand how somthing so simple can be turned into somthing so dramatic if someone would have done somthing wrong then the whole situation would have been diffrent we are just some highschool kids trying to support our team...

And you all have done a fantastic job of supporting the Dawgs. It's not your fault that some people are so redneck that they want to destroy everything for everybody.
I think the pep section deserves a trophy for the job they have done. You all have made us very proud!!! :champ:

Ok, I would like to congratulate Hazard on their win. You guys definately have the best team in the region. You have a heck of a coach and some fine players. I honestly thought the fans from both teams acted absolutely stupid. I've been to regional tournament finals all over the state of Kentucky and I must say that I have never been around a more ignorant bunch of people in my life. I thought I was going to a basketball game and not a tough man competition last night. I thought the players had a lot of respect for each other and they didnt play dirty at all. Most of them are good friends off the court. I really didnt understand all the commotion. I thought the officiating was pretty darn good. Well I have no complaints about anything other than some of the fans from both teams. I have known Randy Napier all my life and I know he just wouldnt walk up to a teenage kid and push them for nothing. You cant invade a persons space and not expect them to push you away. Well I dont really know the truth to this because I couldnt see it for all the cops beating up the Campbell guy that came on the floor.

It was stated if you were not a basketball player, coach, or cheerleader you were not to be on the floor or you would be escorted out of the gym. Why were the kids from PCC who went on the playing court not escorted out of the gym? Probably because Mr Neace is afraid of them!! If you cant back up your rules dont make them. Nice job Hazard!!!!As for Randy Napier!!! REDNECK!!!!!!!!!!! Just think he is teaching your kids and coaching your daughters, hopefully not to act like he does!!! GO DAWGS!!!!!!

Once again a pure sign of ignorance out of Kygurl. People at PCC are no more REDNECK than those up at HHS. Hazards not a big city. Its a little hole in the ground where a few people live. Most of your students and alumni live throughout the county. So stop acting like you are superior to county people. Theres REDNECKS from both places so stop trying to say the county people are stupid or something.

On a side note, despite all the foolishness that went on that didn't involve any players or coaches involved in the game, there was actually a basketball game that went on. Congrats to the Hazard Bulldogs. They were far and away the best team in our region, and they proved it all year long. I'm happy for Big Al and his players.
Also, I'm happy for Coach Hatcher and his team. This was at least the fifth of sixth most talented team in the region and here they were giving the regional champs a good fight the entire game. There is a reason that Hatcher is considered one of the greatest coaches in this great state. Although things always work a little different in Perry County, I'd love to see him return. It should make things interesting in this rivalry for a long long time.
Again, I'm proud and and happy for both teams. I'm not sure I can say the same about either sides fans. Good luck Bulldogs.

Well, I guess the fat lady has finished singing On Hazard High and she will be helping load the bus next Wednesday when our team begins their treck to Lexington to represent the 14th region in the Sweet Sixteen.
I want to congratulate the Bulldogs on a fine pre-tournament season and winning an action packed regional tournament which certainly was not for the faint of heart! Once again, you did a fine job, achieved a stellar victory and represented Hazard High School with dignity and integrity! I am so proud of you, young men! I also want to congratulate our great coaching staff. Each one of you should be commended for setting good examples for our players and instilling a strong desire to win, but still showing respect for the other team. Keep up the good work!
Thursday, we will face a good team from South Laurel and all our fans need to be there to encourage Hazard's team on to victory. Not just our Hazard fanbase, but those who live far and wide need to come to Lexington for this game. Our team is now making memories that will last a lifetime...help them be great ones!
Go Bulldogs!!
