I seriously doubt that most of the people voting for P-Burg to win are objective observers who honestly think Prestonsburg will be the better team on the floor. Most of them are probably Blackcat followers who are hoping for an upset, and are picking with their heart and not their head.
That's very true, but you really never know who's voting for who and why. Some people could honestly believe they will beat them. Personally I don't think P-burg has a chance, but then again you never know that's why they play the games. I guess it just comes down to which team will utilize the other' flaw to their benefit. However, I wish the Blackcats luck but I don't look for an upset. I think everyone will get what they want with a Shelby Valley v. Paintsville matchup.

Well Betsy Layne almost knocked off SV last year! Something for P-burg to think about. It is March Madness and maybe they can catch Valley thinking about the Paintsville game! Seriously though, I look for Valley to be focused and it will be a tough game for the Blackcats to stay in, let alone win!

After talking to a few of the players today they seem pretty confident and they believe that they will be able to give Valley a run for there money.
I sure hope that they can put a complete game together and come out and pull the upset.

It is tourney time and GOD knows what will happen. Look at what happened in the girls tourney tonight. BL spanked SV. Who would have thunk that? Teams just come out on different levels for these things.

I suppose some of the people voting for Prestonsburg really believe that, but I doubt that applies to most of them. Over 40% of the vote? That just seems really high, especially compared to the landslide voting on the Paintsville-Belfry thread. Heck, Allen Central is currently being favored by a higher percentage of voters in its game, does that make sense?
If you want my honest opinion, I think the reason so many are voting for P-Burg is that there is a general dislike for Shelby Valley among a large segment of BGR members. Most of these people would LOVE to see SV get beat out, and they're voting based on what they HOPE will happen. JMO.

I would love to see the Blackcats pull this one out and surprise everyone by this upset. Pburg must play a very flawless game to keep up with Shelby Valley. If Pburg can control the pace of the game then I think they have a good chance. But if they don't Shelby Valley will run away with this one.

I understand that could possibly be the reason. However, I would think that the members, for the most part, are more likely to hate Paintsville rather than SV. I know alot things gets said about us Tiger fans and so I would think if nothing else it would be 50/50 on that one.

A team who lost by almost 30 earlier in the year should not be within 30 votes of the superior team. These polls on here are ridiculous, even Paintsville fans know Valley will take this one easy.

I didn't say one thing about it. I'm saying if they don't have a chance then there is no point of going. Valley is capable of beating Pburg by 30 just as Pburg is capable of beating Valley. If they think that Prestonsburg will win, then that is their opinion and should be respected. All I agreed with is that Valley would win, but don't act like Pburg will roll over and die.

What does it matter which way people vote? It's basketball and anyone can win on any given night. SV might come out cold and Pburg red hot or vice-versa, it's a persons opinion and they can post and cheer for any team they want. Whether being right or wrong, it's freedom of speech....unless you want to strip them of their liberties of being a citizen of the U.S. Who cares the way people vote and also, why bring Paintsville into your post? No one knows who voted what way and don't even know if the anticipated match-up will happen. Wait until about 9:30-9:45 on Thursday and you can start another thread. Until then, say your peace and try to stay on topic.

You think it is evident that Valley is cocky about this one based on what . . . one guy's comments on a message board? I'm sure they can't help but think about Paintsville in the back of their minds, probably just like Paintsville is doing, but I'd say that by no means are they cocky about the Prestonsburg game. They probably know that they are the better team, but that they can lose this game.

Pburg just flat out knows they have the better team here. Seriously, how is this even debatable? I don't know how Shelby Valley has any votes in this poll.
