Well I know getting on the radio and his uncle/coach saying he is the best player in the state and noone can stop him last year isnt going to help.

Stepp will not play D1. He will be lucky if he plays NAIA.

I know I will most likely get blasted for saying this, but I dont think he would even play for Pikeville College this year. Before the blasting starts, if you have not seen PC play, dont tell me I am crazy, they are in the top 25 in the nation.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog.

Listen, Clark Stepp will play ball somewhere in college. Lets not forget who his family is. He will play ball for a college...maybe ALC, but he will play. I do not understand how the JBS lovers can sit back and say:"Don't have your opinion unless it is a good one of JBS." I don't ever recall telling people who like JBS that they are wrong. That is their opinion and I completly respect it. Now, please extend me and my fellow correct thinkers (jk) the same courtesy. Hey, just because I don't like the Crusaders dosen't mean I don't like most of the players. It the way they run the team that I dislike, so, therefore, I refuse to cheer for a team with an agenda that I disagree with.

Guys, I like JBS and watch every game they play. I will continue to do that even though the team is not run anything kike it should. Garrison needs about 15 touches/game as does Tre. It really kills me to see Clint on defense. His man lit us up in Clay Co. They put Seth Hall in, and the guy didn't hit another shot. Heck, Seth even had 8 pts. I have played pick up with Seth for 3 years now, and I know how he plays defense. He is a very skilled athlete who never stops running. I just wish they could play team ball and forget about a points average. Hopefully they will figure it out soon. We can beat Lex-Cath if we play team ball and get everyone else involved instead of letting them key-in on one man and not guard anyone else. Go Crusaders.

I agree with you that if Garrison and Trey got 15 touches a game then this team would be unbelievable. As much as I would like to see that I just cant see it happening with the current situation. If this team decides to have an inside presence then that would open up the outside more for the guards who would get better looks. Collins and Short both shoot over 60% from the field....

I'm sure Stepp can play for Pikeville if Justin Hicks can. Hicks still starts for them as far as I know. I still look for him to go to a bigger school, not neccessarily division 1 though. What about Georgetown??? Not the Hoyas.Smile

Congrats to Catholic, but also to JBS for the effort they gave. Not too shabby.

Hicks is a much better player than Stepp though.

Let's face it. Clark Stepp is a good player but he is no D-1 prospect. He should sign with ALC and follow in the family footsteps.

As for the JBS team, getting Collins involved would benefit this team GREATLY. It would not only give them another scroing option but would create even more shots for their guards when Collins finds the open man after he is double-teamed.

Going with what you said at the end of your post. JBS plays team ball when its a blow out but when it is a close game Clark tries to take over, and he is just not good enough for that and don't get me wrong a lot of players from different teams do this is also but they don't really tend to have anyone else. JBS has talent coming out of there a** and he doesn't half to do try to take over the game. So my point is if JBS played team ball then they would probably be a competitor in state, but this will probably never happen so this is nothing more than a boring little rant that I felt like going on. But anyways congrats to Lex-cath. on the win

I think that is a fair assessment......

I wouldn't say he is much better, but I would agree that Hicks has a better shot. However, Stepp is a very talented ball player that can't be overlooked. He has great floor leadership and good ball handling abilities, as well as Hicks. I would say they are about even. Both are exceptional athletes.Wink

Stepp might play for a D1, but might is the key word there. I would love to see him play for EKU or Morehead State.
