Hazard Panorama?

World B Free Wrote:Who where the players and why didn't they play?

Owsley and Cordia game was a physical game that seemed to be an advantage for Cordia. Cordia shot the ball well and I don't remember Hurt missing too many shots. The big guy down low really was a hustler and caused problems for Owsley. Owsley had 2 starters out in center Josh Reed and PG Jeremy Pierson. Pierson out on a church trip and Reed out due to a bruised ankle but I believe is expected to play in the first game on thursday. Also another Manious player wasnt there for a reason unknown by me.
Cordia had another guard that seemed to be able to set up an offense well and iniatiate the offense. Cordia won big the first half and only won by under 10 ( i believe) the 2nd.

That is what i was about to say. To me there is no cheating in a scrimmage. Hazard also ended up playing Prestonsburg because Estill didn't show up. Hazard won that game by a good margin to probably around 40 also. Buckhorn won against Harlan by about 10 points.

Hazard won that game against Pburg nothing close to 40 points. They played two 16 minutes halfs and Hazard won the first half by 6 and won the second half by about 15 and Tackett and Hall both had to set out for several minutes because i guess Hazard couldnt handle physical play.

Owsley has some talent issues this year imo. McIntosh is ok, but other than him that's about it. Reed is ok at times, but only at times. It's just when he wants to show up to play. The rest of the team has a lot of work to do. The guards are small, easily trapped in a press, and get rattled real easy, and they're streakey shooters. The other stareters do not impress me no way. I hope their new coach does ok, but if not, he is certainly not to blame. You can only play the hand you're delt, and he has a short hand.

i believe that the coach is dealt with a good hand.... he has plenty of seniors, its if they would glue their heads on straight and focus on the game that would help them tremendously throughtout this season...... and watch guards gets rattled easy????????

Maybe you're right, but just because someone is a senior doesn't make them a good player.
And you're right, I don't want to watch players get rattled easy.

Cougarfan25 Wrote:Yeah i went down to watch won of my old friends son play and cumberland won the combined score. surprising though as bad as they got cheated . Cumberlands big boys were on the bench with 5 minutes to go due to fouls. Which the they had not been keeping fouls all day. So i guess yo ucould say Cumberland got the good ol fashioned 14th region treatment. Anyway Cumberlands best guard didnt suit up according to thier fans.
If Cumberland played without their point guard (Brock Leisge) and still won then that is a good sign for them. Leisge is an excellent guard and has started for them for 3 or 4 years now, does anyone know what is wrong with him, I hope he is not out long.

actually Cumberland had 2 starters from last year out. The Blanton kid started last year, but due to injuries and football he may have lost it, but he did start last year.

Would you people care to give KCC a little credit? They beat Pikeville, all was on here is this persons out or that person out, they split halfs with Cumberland and all was on here is this person was out or that person was out. KCC is not going to be the best team in Eastern KY but they are going to be good and competitive every night out, why all the hating on em?

Actually QB7 I wasnt putting KCC down just simply stating that it was a solid effort by Cumberland considering their point guard and another possible starter did not play. To play Cumberland tough even without those 2 guys has to be considered a solid effort by KCC as well.

No one likes to see KCC win. We won the district last year, at least they could give us some credit. PCC hasn't done anything in a while and yet they get ranked higher than us. I know it takes more than winning a district title, but geez, c'mon give our boys some credit they work just as hard as these other teams do. I personally think that KCC will be tough this year, Buttermilk will help them alot and a couple of other new boys also.

the reason pcc and hazard and other schools are ranked higher is because they beat you year in and year out. If you guys are able to beat them this year maybe next year you will be rated higher

Back to back first round district exits and the loss of the coach that built their reputation should put PCC farther back IMO. I mean don't get me wrong, Coach Hatcher is by all means a fine coach, but we have to see what he can do with this team before we put them at the top

Your right but in most polls buckhorn is rated higher than PCC. In Letcher and Knott Centrals cases though they just wont ever be rated as high as Perry until they show they can beat them during the season and not just through the summer circuits.

Your right cougarfan, but no one is gonna go to Perry County and play Hazard or P.C. and come out with the win, the refs are not gonna let that happen. I know people whine and cry over losing a game and blame the refs, but I've always said the two places you will go to play and not come out on top is Perrry County and JBS.
