About a week ago, 2 US Navy ships were denied entry to Chinese ports and then just yesterday the USS Kitty Hawk and her escorts were denied entry for a Thanksgiving day retreat. Do we need to be worried about these decisions or should they be overlooked? Is the communist government of China trying to make a statement?

I'm not worried about them. They have about 2.5 million troops...but the only have 1 gun for every 3 soldiers. That is a big problem. Also, their technology is ages behind ours. The bulk of China's weapon systems are from the 50's, 60's, and 70's. I think we could take them alot easier than people think. By no means would they come close to winning a war against the U.S. I would say the closest country to the U.S. in military power is Israel, and they are one of our biggest allies.

Have they gave a reason yet to why we were denied access?

China changed their minds later on, but by that time the Kitty Hawk was 250 miles away. China also didn't release a reason...

What about the families of the Sailors who paid to fly to Hong Kong to see their spouse for the first time in probably 6 months. Only to be told that they weren't going to get to see them. Then the Chinese goverment changed their minds.
