TidesHoss32 Wrote:Ive known Bobby a few years, have followed his career and I can say firsthand that East Ridge has gotten not only a fine man, but a darn good coach. His record and accomplishments speak for themselves. He took teams with mediocre talent and made them winners time and time again, and I sincerely could care less what the "Shelby Valley click" thinks about him. Valley will never be happy with their coach, no matter who it is, and thats fact. You can call him loud, you can call him obnoxious, you can call him whatever you want, but you have to also call him a winner. A winner who keeps his kids in line, and will continue to keep them in line, stay on top of their academic progress, and turn them into winners. I am glad that he'll be back on the sidelines again, especially for a program that really hasnt had too much to cheer about. I talked to him today, and he's tickled to death about the future at East Ridge. So I send East Ridge a big congrats, and for giving him a MUCH deserved chance to coach again. .You are wrong about valley not ever being satisfied with their coach, no matter who it is. We were satisfied with napier and are satisfied this year with alvin and rowe. don't post stupid comments. i wish the girls and the new coach at er all the luck.

I guess you werent around the entire first year Booher was coaching the boys? If you even attempt to deny that Valley fans wanted him gone during that year, then you need to go take your medicine..and the same goes for girls basketball..the minute the team starts to struggle, the "CLICK" at Valley (and you know who Im talking about) gets together and tries to run everybody out of town..Bobby was something like 5-5 when he was run out of town..so I guess it makes your comment a little stupid doesnt it?

How is ER doing right now? With a new hire and a lot of talent, this team will be hard to handle by the end of the year.

I don't think they will be too hard to handle. They are talented, but young and inexperienced. Also, I hate to say this, but I feel if things do not go well early the "parent assistants" might become disgruntled. I saw an earlier post in this forum that suggested that Coach Spears won a number of games with "mediocre" talent...I guess my ability to judge talent is flawed-- I always thought that the Bakers, Kelly Blackburn, Amy Tackett, Summer Jones, Ashley Damron, Ashley Ratliff, Esther Fleming, Sally Roberts and so many others were incredibly talented! By the way, where are the "Blowfish"?

Actually I think that East Ridge is a better team now than they were when Sawyers was at East Ridge. She was nothing but a ball hog, awful passer, butter fingers, and a negative attitude! So personally I think no coach needs a player like this on their team!!!

The parents at ER are not stupid, they know they have a young team and it will take time. Have you even watched ER play this year? I didn't think so. But you will when the Lady Warriors play valley.

The parents at East Ridge understand they have a young and very talented team and it will take time. Have you even watched ER play this year? I didn't think so. But you will get your chance when the Lady Warriors play valley.

It is a good thing that Amanda transferred to Valley because ER wouldn't have nothing to talk about.
