When your living under what amounts to a near Fascist Administration. These points are all valid and seem very Socialist.
Facism and Communism are polar opposites of each other.
The middle ground is what we should be focusing on here. Not finding more and more ways to show how one side is better than the other.
When Corprate assests are siezed by the Goverment and federalized that is Communism.
When Government assets are siezed(bought) by Companies(privatization) that is Fascism.
All the Bush Administration talks about is Privatization. We've even Privatized the War!

I am no real Hillary fan, but when you pull a piece of a larger argument out and place it somewhere WITHOUT CONTEXT it is possible to take even the most careful speaker and paint them however you wish. George Bush, oh my gosh. Rudy Guiliani...oh my gosh. Anybody. So, while cute and maybe quaint, this little exercise adds NOTHING to serious political debate.

I think the Republicans are "foaming at the mouth" wanting Hillary to be nominated. I'm not racist and Im not sexist. But I just don't see Hillary or Obama winning in the general election. I'm just trying to look at it through a realistic point of view. All you hear on the news is how the Republican base split is and unenergized. Well Im here to tell ya.......nothing will unite them faster than getting to run against Hillary.

Women, last I heard, make up about 56% of the US voting population, as they live longer than men due to driving
men's blood pressure up with all the nagging (kidding)...
Enough women may think that we men have messed stuff up
long enough that they vote for Hillary in just enough
numbers to turn the general election. If fact, that's
pretty much what I think will happen.

For any candidate to win a general election they must appeal to the Independent voters. No candidate can win a general election based soley on Republican votes, Democratic votes, female votes, African American votes or White Male votes. Right now....Hillary is the clear frontrunner. But its still almost 3 months until Iowa and let us not forget how everyone was proclaiming Howad Dean the nominee in '04 at this point. John Kerry ended up winning Iowa and never looked back.

I agree that Hillary will likely win, but I don't think it's because she will get all the female vote. I think there will be some females, as well as some males, who would never vote for any woman for president.
I believe that Hillary will win the Democratic nomination because of all the admiration that the party still has for her husband and because she appeals to the party's liberal base. Furthermore, I believe that whoever emerges with the Democrat nomination will win the general election no matter who gets the Republican nomination, due to the strong negative feelings many Americans have toward Bush.

Good post... I think the one thing that might change the tenor of the general election is some sort of terror attack (God forbid) on American soil. Other than that, I think it will be very hard for the Republican candidate to win both Ohio and Flordia, which without one or the other, means a win for the Deomocrat.

If Hillary wins Iowa....it's game over for the Democratic nomination. But if Edwards or Obama wins Iowa, it's a new ballgame.

Agreed, I think all the 'swing' states will go to the Democrats in next year's presidential election.

Just vote Republican, cause if you're not right you're wrong. Plus Hillary would ruin the US. She would weaken our military, socialize our economy and limit aid to foreign countries in need.

So low in fact that the standards have been lowered for entry. Instead of having a military filled with the best America has to offer it's now full of Criminals who 10 years ago would have been laughed out of the recruiters office. The military is stretched way beyond its capability. Sure Bush is spending Trillions of dollars in Iraq but most of that money is going to the Civilian Contractors.
The current Republican administration has in 7 years transformed the U.S from a Prosperous Nation of Peace into a Broken Nation of War. Congratulations:thumpsup:

The quality, the power, of these words... When one reduces political debate, political philosophy down to quaint bumper sticker logic, I tend to think that my vote should count ten and Bumper Sticker Man's vote count one.

There are people right here in America that needs aid. I'm sick and tired of my tax dollars going to other countries when all our buiness's are going too, to save money on payroll and people right here are starving and homeless. As far as military, build it up to protect our borders and let everyone else fend for themselves. IMO.

I agree with you, unfortunately the US has become something like the world's older, cooler, brother. I know that it sucks to pay tax dollars to foriegn aid projects, but these projects help us to gain allies throughout the world. Also, the US being a society of capitalism we have the belief that someone can rise up and become something greater through their own will. Historically churches played the role of giving aid to Americans, but that role changed during the depression when most churches had little money themselves. maybe to help out our fellow people politicians that raise 30+ million dollars in campaign funds, could give a large portion of that to people in need.

you're wrong. flat out.
facism and communism are NOT polar opposites. they are both socialist based belief systems. anyone with any amount of study or education on this would agree.
Further, Facism has nothing to do with privatization!!! Capitalism is what you are referring to. Nazi Germany's leading party was what?? The National SOCIALIST Germany Workers Party.
So please, refrain from lying. Its not worth it, just to make a point. Bush is bad, we all agree. But using quarter truths, and whole lies isn't a way to make people believe you.

Clinton has been identified by a former college professor of hers as a socialist. These comments shouldn't come as a suprise to anyone.
