They will get there two tests with Sheldon Clark and Johnson Central. But as of right now I don't think there is a better front seven in the mountains. Congrats Pirates!

The whole Belfry D is playing well and getting better. They're quick and they pursue well and they are disciplined.

It will take a very good offensive effort by anybody to beat this defense in class 3A.

I'm looking forward to seeing how this plays out.

Yea they may be getting better and they are playing good, not taking anything away from them but look at who they have played this year a real test for there D will come on the 19th.

I think your mistaken here, or either you didn't look at the schedule. Belfry has played a lot better schedule than SC has. Belfry played and shutout Corbin (one of the best teams in 2A), and they dominated Pikeville, thier anual county rival. SC has the weakest schedule I have seen in 3A mountain football. Sheldon Clark better worry about the thumping they are going to take this friday night at the hands of Bell Co.

Sorry about getting off topic but I had to show the results.

There NON-CLASS opponets records are:

Sheldon Clarks opponets record is 9-17.

Belfry's schedule opponets record is 15-11.

So the Pirates overall (non-class 3A) record is better than Sheldon Clarks.

It is going to take more than Adam Dials to beat Belfry, Ask Pikeville... IMO Harmon is a better back than Dials, an he didnt do anything against Belfry...

Anyone can talk the talk in here. Only Friday will tell the truth. I would be interested in seeing this game but my Devils are facing their toughest challenge so far this year so I must go try to root then on to a victory.

I think that intermoutain cable will be there and idf they are they will sell copys of the game like they did last year

Shelby Valley isn't a great team, but they are better than anyone SC has defeated as well.

Belfry held Corbin to negative rushing yards and approximately 150 total yards, since that game Corbin has had arguably the best offense in 2A and have lit up some solid teams (South Laurel, Dunbar, and LCA). Corbin gained 620 yards against LCA.

Pikeville has one of the state's top rushign teams averaging over 300 yards per game on the ground. Against LexCath the Panthers churned up over 300 total yards in a game where the Knights played their starters until the final horn sounded. When Belfry pulled their starters the Panthers had gained less than 30 yards rushing, Daniel Harmon had ran for only 20 yards.

I have no problem if you said you think SC can run the ball on Belfry, but to say that Belfry hasn't beat anyone, and that their defense hasn't been challenged yet, is completely absurd.
